I gift him a modified MT? Or my cleanest MTo shirt? Or my MTo poker chip?Get him to sign the MT.o shirt you will be wearing, while you're wearing it. Never wash it again. :gimme:
Do I ask him a million questions? If yes then which questions?Just walk up to him and be like "sup?" :D
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaa. You'll be wearing the MT.o shirt for him to sign. 8)
What is protocol? And what do I wear? How many Leathermans do I belt carry?
Do I gift him a modified MT?YES! The most outrageous butchered mod you have (and can bear to part with).
Don't forget to tell him that you love him :D
Way to make someone comfortable. :clap:Don't forget to tell him that you love him :D
Agreed. Tell him you really love him... No, you really love him... while maintaining eye contact.
Be yourself - he is probably bored with people treating him like a god.

well, zoid, I hope you can make it there just fine :tu:
if it's anything like his visit to the 35 Year Anniversary Event in Barcelona, then:
- you'll make long queues to have your tools signed
- there is a limit to two tools per person to be signed :P
- you will be able to talk to him during the time he spends signing your tools, 1-2 minutes at most :ahhh
- I talked to him about he forum, he knows it exists and many people have talked to him about it during the years :tu:
- you might be able to gift him something but he doesn't carry anything other than his pockets, belt sheath and pen in the shirt pocket, and he'll be moving around all over the place so he doesn't have much space on him to carry stuff. Maybe his wife or some staff member will be able to hold or save something for him but I'm not confident about that :dunno:
- if you bring a marker/sharpie (like I did) and a catalog, shirt, book, or other stuff he'll probably be more than happy to sign it for you. Seeing that everybody wanted his stuff signed after me, I gave him my marker to keep so he could sign all the other people's things :D
- in this event they gave a bracelet to all the reerved visitors, with a number to enter the raffle, as well as a catalog with a sticker, and a T-shirt (you choose your size)

here is Tim signing my tools in the event. I talked to him for about 2 minutes

finally, just be yourself. He is very open to all kinds of people and he's a straight shooter, so I'm sure you will get your point(s) across easily and quickly as he's very attentive and enthusiast about fans, questions, comments and opinions, and he's very down to earth and doesn't just sit on his laurels and enjoy what he's built from the top :hatsoff:
If you look closely you can see he even signed the baby.
Are you on the Facebook? You can win tickets to it and other stuff on Leatherman's FB page. :pok:
EDIT: Oops it closed two weeks ago.
If I may suggest a question for your list:
When will LM come with a new generation of larger MTs? I count the Plus models as small improvement, not new gen.
Ask him to become a member here ... :pok:
(or are you already here Tim ... ? :sa:)Show content(https://i.gifer.com/2AqQ.gif)
A great opportunity. I am jealous :salute:
Be YOURSELF :drink:
Get your favorites signed. DO NOT follow him to the restroom, (not cool).
Yes, give him a MTO poker chip, let him know it trumps any other chip that can be played :tu:
Have fun and take pictures.
Just tell him you'd Love to be him. Grin and then say "It puts the MT in its' sheath"
Be yourself - he is probably bored with people treating him like a god.
Tell him you're a moderator at MTO, and he might treat you like a god :D
Hey Zoidy
Lots of good (and some not so good ;) ) advice here
My comment is
Thank you for letting me know he is coming Down Under - I did not know - Hopefully I'll see him in Sydney in a couple of weeks
- Can't wait - The man is a legend
Do I give him the Blaser to give to you, would save me some postage.:rofl:

It might be best not to show Mr. Leatherman how Matt uses the Flairs fork. :D
Tim Leatherman in New Zealand
Yesterday, while Tim was at a cafe he heard the tremendous roar of motorcycles go past. After the cafe stop, Tim and his group had to stop at the petrol station down the road and came across the group of motorcycles they had heard earlier.
Tim noticed that one of the motorcyclists seemed to have an issue with his bike and walked over to take a look. He asked if any of them used Leatherman tools, and as it happens - one was currently being used to help repair the bike!
The group did not believe Tim when he said he was the inventor of Leatherman, and had to pull out his ID as proof!
Cue excitement and lots of photos 😎
So did your mate go?He did. Funny thing is TL looks like an older version of him.
