If had my way, would somehow acquire a Charge TTi and carry the KF4 with it. KF4 having an awl makes it awl worth while. Charge would be comfortable enough to use for the big stuff. My britches can barely hold up a Surge and an XE6. Miss my old Wave.
Does it get used, or is it a shelf queen Ben? :pok:

Thats why I was so happy to get a grey one from Dennis, who quite generously agreed to ship it over here to me, for which I am genuinely very grateful my friend :salute: And no, you cant have it....tis mine...I doth luv it :D

My first Juice arrived on Thursday, Storm Gray S2. Overall impressions are very positive. The pliers are much more capable than those on my Deluxe Tinker, the blade is a razor, and the Phillips is great. The can opener isn't exactly inspiring any confidence, I'll have to sharpen it. The scissors? Well, not as bad as I thought they'd be, but not Victorinox, that's for sure. And, I discovered the Juice's natural defense mechanism the hard way-it tries to stab you with those flat screwdrivers! :o Prickly little sucker! The flat heads, once opened, are great though. Overall I'm very happy with it, and it'll be seeing plenty of pocket time I'm sure.

Hey JD, I honestly don't think that thing is a can opener... I know LM says it's supposed to be, but I mean really, if it is, they didn't do that great of a job with it... If you sharpen it and try it out, let us know how it goes.
Well, I'll just have to play with it a bit and see how it goes. Sure isn't going to replace one of my Vic's in the can opener dept at work either way.

I have to agree that the can opener on the juice line is a horrible attempt at making a good can opener.

Yeah, we keep a Super Tinker on the counter for just the same purpose. The scissors come in handy more times than I can count as well!Well, I'll just have to play with it a bit and see how it goes. Sure isn't going to replace one of my Vic's in the can opener dept at work either way.
Yeah, no doubt!
I use the one in my Outrider as my regular kitchen can opener right now. It works so well I've never felt the need to plunk down the few clams it'd cost to buy a regular can opener at the store. :D
Yep.Yeah, why bother buying a can opener when I have 10-15 of them (probably more :)) sitting around? The Vic can opener works great once you get the hang of it, I've gotten pretty quick and so has the woman.
I'm away from my family right now working in a new job. I don't really cook much now, and what little I do cook is usually stuff out of a can. No need to spend even just a few $$$ on a can opener I have no need for.
I saw a Juice on the TV show Pawn Stars today. :tu:

i think they were both priced either 29 or 39 bucks. Prob 29 as that amount could fly under the wife radar..60 to 80 bucks for both i'd be dead man walking :o :D
either way you couldn't go wrong with either choice really :tu:

Same here, and I don't like it. To big for my taste. Is the other side clean or does it have a logo too?
Got my Mint condition KF4 today; already stabbed myself opening the small screwdriver...
That's traditional I'm afraid.... I'm very special, I've done it more than once ::) :-[
Testing to see if you've got a genuine Juice or not:
Can you consistently open the flat screwdrivers without drawing blood? Yes? Sorry, it's a fake. :-\

I think the picture was taken in odd lighting; definitely grey.
Double print looks kinda weird :ahhh
Welcome to the forum bigelox. :tu: Nice shot BTW. Personally I think the Xe6 is a rather bulky MT and the S2 is far more pocket friendly anyway.:tu:

The S2 is the closest thing to a perfect pocket size MT there is. Everything you need, and nothing you don't.+1 to all of that. I've been carrying my S2 every day since I got it, and absolutely love it. The tool load out is almost perfect-I don't really need the large flat driver, since I'm also always carrying a SAK. A smaller phillips would be ideal.
If I could change one thing about it, I'd take out the large flat-head driver and put a second, smaller, phillips driver in its place.

Captain Spaulding, you asked about availability on the Juice C2s. I have 2 ordered from Amazon, and they call them extreme dark gray and they come with a fiery red Style for $44.25 and free shipping. I'm pretty sure they are the ones that appear black, but I haven't received mine yet so I'm not positive. They show on the site that there are still 2 available. Thought you might want to know.
All these pics are getting my Juices flowing  I'm after the KF4 and XE6 but stuck on colour choice, so any suggestions  don't say get them all :ahhh Gray or Yellow for the KF4, Gray or Purple for the XE6 :pok:

Well, I got the "extreme dark gray" C2s today, and although they are 3 or 4 shades darker than the standard storm gray, they're definitely not black. And, they came in a box instead of a clampack. So Captain, it's up to you. If you want a darker gray C2 , these are the ones you want. If you want a black C2 you'll have to look somewhere other than Amazon. If you find them, let me know.
Well here's a new one (to me anyhow) A black C2, sold as a combo set along with a red Style, and found at the outdoors shop I visit :)

In real life, mine is about one shade lighter than true "black" (if that makes sense)Makes sense to me. Lesson from a paint retailer-NEVER judge colors from your computer monitor or a picture. What you see isn't going to be what you get. That being said, a deeper gray than the storm gray would be sweet. Are these only C2s?

The blade in mine will take a very keen edge, but it dulls fairly quickly as well.I am experimenting with this for a couple of weeks now and it seems that Juice's blade gets dull even without use while days pass. But, every time I sharpen it (every couple of days), it keeps its edge for a little longer. I don't know if this makes any sense or if it is possible, but it seems like juice's blade steel has some kind of "memory" and the more times you sharpen it, the more it stays sharp.
I think this is a general characteristic of cheaply manufactured hollow ground blades. As you sharpen the edge and wear it down, it moves the edge progressively into a thicker cross section which should reduce the tendency to roll the edge, unless it's a very shallow grind angle. The blade in mine will take a very keen edge, but it dulls fairly quickly as well.I am experimenting with this for a couple of weeks now and it seems that Juice's blade gets dull even without use while days pass. I still like my S2 but always hated the blade. Im just about done grinding on a 91mm SAK blade and fitting in on the S2..

Brilliant idea! I had a Juice but the blade was pants, the combo bottle opener/can opener was a joke, and the scissors were poorly fitted and floppy. Replace the blade and scissors with Vic scissors (or Wenger serrated), and re-design that useless combo tool, and you'll have a decent MT. The Juice comes frustratingly close to hitting that sweet spot for a pocket tool, but it needs improvement.
And for those who carry a SAK with their Juice: the combined weight of those two items is the same as ONE Swisstool Spirit (or any other similar-sized tool),, about 7 ounces. So you're better carrying one of those, rather than two tools.

Mine:
S2 in storm grey. Dated 0102. Stamped Leatherman USA.
KF4 in solar yellow. Dated 0801. Stamped Leatherman USA.
CS4 in storm grey. Dated 0402. Stamped Leatherman Tool.
*The stamps are for the following:
Leatherman USA models were made before Leatherman started production overseas.
Leatherman USA with the USA ground out were made after overseas production started. The only Juice models to have this are certain solar yellow KF4s.
Leatherman Tool stamping was started after Leatherman had moved production overseas.
May, 2005, Portland, OR—A Los Angeles Superior Court judge has found that between April of 1997 and April of 2002, Leatherman Tool Group, Inc. violated a unique California law concerning the ability of companies to represent their products as “Made in USA.” The court in Colgan v. Leatherman Tool Group held that under California law Leatherman engaged in false or misleading advertising by representing that certain of its tools were “Made in USA.” As a result, the court directed the company to pay approximately $13 million in restitution. Leatherman is disappointed with the ruling and intends to file an appeal.
A recent Associated Press story about the ruling gave the distinct impression that Leatherman brand multi-tools are, for the most part, made outside the United States. This is false.
The unique California law at issue prohibits companies from selling in California any product represented as “Made in USA” if “any article, unit, or part” of the product was “substantially made, manufactured, or produced outside of the United States.” As interpreted by one California judge, the law prohibits a “Made in USA” representation of a product even if the only foreign content in the product is a single screw.
These Leatherman tools were all built and assembled by U.S. workers at U.S. factories using primarily parts made entirely in the United States and some parts processed, in part, in Western Europe, Mexico, or Canada. Unfortunately, Leatherman is not able to procure all of its component parts in the United States because of quality, technological, or economic considerations. But Leatherman Tool Group has never shipped a job overseas, and the company remains committed to keeping and creating as many jobs here as possible.
“As proud as I am of the invention of the Leatherman tool, I am even more proud of the hundreds of American jobs I have created,” said company founder and president Tim Leatherman. “I am disappointed in the court’s ruling for a number of reasons, but I am especially disappointed that the court disregarded a ruling issued by a federal judge in 1997 stating that our representation that the Leatherman PST tool was made in the United States was ‘neither false nor misleading.’”
J-sews; I stand corrected. I know the sheaths and plier heads are made in Mexico, but I'm not sure about other components. Leatherman is still my go-to brand for a multi-tool.

Im interested to see this one completed.
I always though it would be neat if leatheman made a "camper special " multitool.
Comine this with the juice.
Whoa whoa whoa so did leatherman make a camper special?
That spork is way too big though. I like the idea of the smaller cocktail fork that could fold up into the body of the tool.
Cocktail fork, barbeque tongs...whatever! I just wanna see someone successfully remove the old Juice pivots and cleanly replace them with something else! I've got plans to make an ultimate KF4 and need to see the pivot trick done correctly.
Nice SAK emblem on the bracelet Colt :tu: Where did you find it or did it come like that?

Those back springs are the devil. The force of a 1000 hammers may bend them.
Lol! Ok maybe I wont immediately take my juice apart when it gets here.
...Pliers are much much smaller than what I normally carry. Will take some getting used to and may not handle the abuse I plan for them.
They pliers are petite, but robust for their size. I once had to make a repair on a group bike ride. One of the ladies' pedals had fallen off (wasn't installed right where she bought it) and I was able to put it back on and tighten it with my Juice S2. I don't think the thicker Wave pliers would've been able to get in that small space.
Off topic but what do you ride Corso? I have an Orbea Aqua :tu:
Got my Juice C2 yesterday. First Juice to call my own though I have used friends before on hikes. I have never been a big fan of the juice but the more I hold it the better I like it.
I am going to carry it the next week to see if I can accomplish everything I can normally on my wave or wingman which I normally carry. Obviously I opted for the cork screw over the scissors so I will carry my style cs on the keychain as well
Early impressions,
Love the flat head screw drivers. Much better than expected. Knife blade is adequate. Cork screw is small making wine opening more difficult then a standard cork screw. -Edit- I take back the cork screw comment..it worked perfectly
Really like the design on the can opener/bottle opener/waiter key.
Pliers are much much smaller than what I normally carry. Will take some getting used to and may not handle the abuse I plan for them.
Got it at target, it was a package deal with a tinker.
What a great thread.
Here's a couple until I can get a group shot:
I may have addressed this in another thread but I don't recall. Is there a reason that the tools on the S2 (and maybe other Juice models) all come out individually? The other LM products I own don't have this (feature?). If I remember them correctly, they all have the 'if one tool comes out, we're all coming out' deal
Anyone else with a similar experience with their Juice tools?

Do some of you have the same problem when folding the plier ? (See vidéo)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2bVJKiCRuc
I have that problem with my Charge Ti. Someone told me in another thread a while back that all LMs do this but only that one for me  I just close the plier head completely before closing the handles :tu:
Here's my brand new cs4 I got in a trade. I made it into my modern Flair with the conversion of the saw into a fork. Everything else is standard.
WHEW! I thought I had lost the first Juice I ever bought, an Orange Juice S2. I found it today clipped to the little keychain clip in my Geocaching backpack. Hooray!!! :cheers:Is it ironic to think you've lost something, only to find it clipped to your geocaching bag?
I thought it had been lost forever.
After receiving my Juice Pro and gray KF4 recently, I am up to four total. I also have a orange S2 and blue CS4.
What are some other models worth getting?

What would be a good price that I would expect to pay for one? $50?

Phew! Glad it made it safe!
Hope you like the KF4. :tu: It is my favorite Juice. :D
Does leatherman sell factory seconds like kershaw?
Since post #14 a few more Juices have been added. Here are the latest Juices:
1st SC2's
2nd CS4's & XE6's

Nice collection. I would like to get a sc2, c2 and a xe6. I have the others including a Pro. :D
Anyone know where I can buy/trade for the ones I need? I prefer to do trades but will buy if price is right! Thx.

Evilbay. Just have to be patient. I'll see if it's love and first sight.

Is it grey - or "clear"?
Interesting - they were only originally made in Red, Blue and Clear as far as I knew!
Though I gather they've released a bunch of new Juice / colour variations whilst I've been "missing" so I'm probably just out of date!

If I recall, Australia & Africa also has camouflaged scales on their Juice tools. Strangely enough the KF4 are still sold new in parts of white Africa. Was a term used by a fella from over there.
Saw somewhere a few prototypes of transparent scaled Juices. God them were beautiful critters! Why didn't Leatherman follow through on that terrific idea?

Not sure I understand what "white Africa" even means tbh!! I was aware that there are Australian camouflage scales out there - African ones are news to me though!
Re the SC2, the "clear" anodise is effectively a transparent anodise on the aluminium scales - give sthe tool a sort of "mirror-like" finish. Very nice in fact.
I'm very curious about a Storm Grey SC2 though - that's definitely a new one on me!

There were no African camo scales, just the Aussie versions. And the SC2 is the one you are talking about, not storm gray. There are Juices with transparent yellow scales. Two prototypes were made, one set of prototypes is owned by Bob. I'll search for pics if he doesn't beat me to it. It never got in production. There was also a run of black Juice C2 or as they called it, dark gray. Oh and they changed the font on the scales last summer. That's about it for the last year or so.
I like the translucent one and the black. They should have put the black on a S2, CS4 and XE6.
:D

Fixed. ;)
I like the translucent one and the black. They should have put the black on a S2, CS4 or XE6.Still the storm grey is a perfect for the urban "Greyman" camoflage practice.

Good bunch of Juices there Mike!
Leatherman pocket size are my favorite :D
Just need three more to round out the collection, two will be rather difficult me thinks
Juice Pro, Juice C2 in (Charcoal/Black), and an SC2 in clear or any color.
Anyone have any leads? ::)
My new S2 just arrived:

What???!!!! Where does it say overseas?
None of the leathermans are "USA made" anymore, At least by Californian laws and regulations. So you'll have to sell all your leathermans :pok:

Weird.... I have an overseas S2 and it seems to be top quality.

That's probably cause they were still saying that they are "made is USA" but weren't and dont have stamps that say USA.
Some Juices dont state any variations so not sure. I do have another cs4 that is stamped "USA"...so dont have to sell them all! :salute:

Will you sell your tv and computer too? :) I bet they weren't made in USA either. ;)
All those tools were made the same, in same factories, by the same people. The ones with USA were sold before the ruling, the ones with the USA ground out were stock they had and the Tool ones came after. Same multitools, same quality, same everything. The only difference is a piece of paper from the Californian court. Read the link I posted.
Weird.... I have an overseas S2 and it seems to be top quality.
There is no such thing as an oversees S2. They are all made and assembled in Portland, some of the tools (pliers and files) are made in other countries though and then shipped back to the US for finishing and assembly.

You realize you are contradicting yourself right? I assume the tools and pliers head are manufactured "overseas then shipped to Portland for final assembly. This doesn't bother me. They are still high quality tools in my opinion.
Here's my new silver juice SC2 next to newish red SC2.

And the silver finish compared to the storm grey, on a juice pro.

Any ideas what Leatherman will do if I send in a Juice Pro for repair? Will they try to replace it with an XE6 or can they pop the pins out and fix the snap spring?

You'll get a xe6. They don't repair Juices.
Lame..... looks like I'll need to find a machinist to either drill or mill out the rivets.

Or you could talk to a modder like Metroplicity?

Ehhhh I think metro has bigger fish to fry. I can think of three machinists one is about a block from my house.
Ha ha I'm 32 and I have never used a corkscrew once. I'm thinking when I take apart my pro I'll replace the corkscrew with a different tool...... not sure what though.

I dont use a corkscrew for opening wine but now I have a sak mini screwdriver attached to it so I can keep me glasses tighten up! It works well! :)

Damn!
This means that ALL of my Leatherman tools were made overseas. In fact so were my SAKs and Gerbers, and Bucks, and Spydercos.....
What to do? What to do?? :ahhh :ahhh

Got my XE6 today and not real happy with access to some of the tools. And some drivers are hard as hell and uncomfortable to pull out. Lack of quick access sucks. Would rather have another Wave instead for the price, this one is going back. Guess I am not ready for the Juice club..... :(
Wouldn't mind a Swiss made Juice. ;)Exactly my thoughts :D
date codes are hard to find on the Juice aren't they Mickey? :D Have a look on the liner beside the Phillips and the flat drivers. They are hidden from view by the drivers when they are closed. So open up the drivers, look down into the channel and the four digit code will be on the 'wall' of the channel. As you have done a bit of reading you'll likely know this but the four digits represent month and year; so 0313 would be March 2013. :) Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply.
I did start a new thread, with photos, to avoid de-railing this one.
The older one is quite easy to see as it happens and is 0611 on both sides. The newer one is VERY faint, but I think it might be03110312 on one. Still trying to decide which one to keep, but I think the newer one with the sticking pliers are going back.
The Juice KF4 being my favorite juice....I didn't think it could get any better. Then I got one in solar yellow. ;D

I managed to pick up a grey one too, and mostly carry that one :)
Polishing how, making it shiny silver with the paint off? :)

Oh Metro you genius you :D That's what I would like my KF4 to be, scissors in place of the saw. Will the scissors make that handle thicker than the other like the S2?
Oh Metro you genius you :D That's what I would like my KF4 to be, scissors in place of the saw. Will the scissors make that handle thicker than the other like the S2?
It's only thicker by a blade. It in fact evens it out, you know how the s2 is uneven?

Yeah, the S2 is rather noticeably uneven, but it's not a huge deal. It's nice that the KF4 is even though, so if scissors cause it to be uneven, then I can deal without them. I have a Micra anyway to pair with it, or a SAK. I think I remember seeing you make a comment recently stating that you aren't a Micra fan? If so, why is that? I know you're a huge Squirt guy though ;)

I've never had a good experience with them, the scissors always bind, the tweezers suck, the tools are hard to get to and I don't like the bottle opener design. Just my opinion, ymmv. :)

It's the S2 and C2 in one, scissors + corkscrew. :)
Unless I'm mistaken, the only difference between the SC2 and the CS4 is the saw blade. So if a CS4 is just an SC2 with a saw blade, why'd the call it the CS4, instead of the SC4?Juices SC2, 3 colors Blue, Silver, Red!!!

Naming Code
The logic behind the naming of the various Juice tools is reportedly as follows:
C2 = Corkscrew, 2 external tools (corkscrew and knife)
S2 = Scissors, 2 external tools (scissors, knife)
KF4 = serrated Knife and File, 4 external layers (serrated blade, plain blade, saw and file)
CS4 = Corkscrew and Scissor, 4 external tools (scissor, corkscrew, knife and saw)
SC2 = Scissors, Corkscrew, 2 external tools (should actually be a SC3, as there are three external tools comprised of scissors, corkscrew and knife)
XE6 = No tools beginning with an X or E, but does have 6 external tools (some say eXtra Everything ;) )

Looking good Metro. What's with the Purple and Yellow? You a Lakers fan or something.
Nice ones Metro. I'm loving that Kf4 with scissors :tu:That's why I don't really have any interest in a Kf4, as much as everyone raves about them... no scissors. They're an essential implement for me in an EDC tool.

Leatherman stuff is pretty pricey here, unfortunately :( Originally, the Micra's were ticketed at $69.99 ea , the Juice. if I recall was around $90 odd :(

How do you like it?
Im in with my s2 and xe6 :tu:How do you like the S2 Zed? Mines in my pocket right now and already used it on some stuff around the house. I love the phillips driver. Not sure why one scale is higher than the other but not a big deal. Also cut some earth sleeving with it and i like the wire cutters. I have a little repair to do on a wire so might put it to use and take picks!

@Zed and SparkieD...How are you guys getting on with the asymmetric handles on the S2? Used to drive me to distraction :ahhhI'm with zed on this one it does feel a tad weird but it won't put me off the tool. It really is a great tool, just need a way to carry it don't want the scales getting dinged up in my pocket with keys etc maybe carry it next to my phone...

Sad to say, as of this past Sunday, I am out of the Juice Club. I gave my S2 to a friend.
I might get back in at some point, but don't feel a burning need.

Nice Juices Mr B.
Next tool on my list is a blue cs4
Congrats, even after watching the video reviews I was surprised how small the Juice line is. I really love the S2 even with the biting drivers.
And people here think I have OCD. :D
Placement order fixed, and I have not found a red SC2. :salute:
Congrats on completing the collection, again. :D
Do any of them have the 2013 date stamp like the first one you got?
 How do you people manage to collect those

I hope soon I will do a post about all my Leatherman Juice collection (now is 88 psc) ;)
Wow. that´s amazing I´m also looking forward to it.:drool: How do you people manage to collect those
I hope soon I will do a post about all my Leatherman Juice collection (now is 88 psc) ;)
Original Juices (standard colors, standard modifications) 68 pcs
Total 88 pcs (all different, no two identical among them).
I think I know what most of the variations are but I never thought that there were that many. :o
Looking forward to the more complete write up on it.
Great pics and summary.
I'll try to incorporate this into the multitool wiki pages if you don't mind. :salute:
WOW
Here's a pic of my new cs4 :
Do some of you have the same problem when folding the plier ? (See vidéo)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2bVJKiCRuc
See my post...
I have my brand new Xe6!!! It arrived SOOOOOO FAST! :mail:
Thanks :) But the scissors feel a bit flimsyish? Is it the same with all Juice-s? Also the pliers are a bit stiff... or maybe that's because these are my first non spring-loaded ones.
It's not so big and heavy as I imagined it, though. Watching vids on YT one would say it's an enormous tool.
The colour IS gorgeous :D It's very rich and not like in most pictures. But I'm really kinda afraid for the scissors... The scissors on my PS4 aren't that shaky, they don't move from side to side. I have the feeling there's a problem/something loose where the two "blades" for the scissors are attached together (not sure about the technical terms) (pivot or sth. ?) The "blade" which actuates the very spring/ the upper blade that you move with you thumb is kinda.. moving quite freely from side to side.
P.S. I'll compare the scissors to the pair in the gray Juice S2 that's supposed to arrive soon.
Ok, great, thanks for telling me guys! :tu: This makes me way more confident in the quality of my tool :D Just no key chain sized tool or my WIngman have such.... "playful" scissors, so I freaked out :ahhh
Also, the fact that, at times, when closing the tool, half of the plier head gets stuck in the handle with the flat heads and this way the tool cannot be closed is very annoying. I must always be careful how I "fold" the tool and which side goes first in the handle. Doesnt happen often, but happens. Thank God I don't use pliers often.
Thanks, Zed :)
Today I got the S2, too! I must say I'm in love with it! The scissors have NO play whatsoever, they feel a lot tougher than the Xe6. The whole tool feels a lot... stiffer & tougher and stronger.
At some point, I guess, if I don't sell the Xe6, I'll just send it to LM... who knows. For the time being I'll be comparing both.
The S2 also came with a leather sheath, so I guess I could put the Xe6 in it and carry it on my belt while having the S2 in my pocket or sth. (you can never have too many LMs on you, right? :D)
Another BUT. - what if they suggest thta I send the Juice in... and what if I do send it... and what if they do not repair the scissors, but decide to send me a brand new tool. Sounds great, doesn't it? BUT what if they send me from the NEW Juice line i.e. that half-painted pale yellow thing?? :ahhh
I guess I'd better not bother until something on the tool really breaks.
I have FIVE tools :ahhh: Micra, PS4, Juice Xe6, S2, Wingman :D
I've just receive an email from LM's customer service. They told me, without me even asking, that if I were to send the Xe6 in for an exchange to the dealer and maybe to LM under their warranty service, I'd be very likely to receive the new one, that's a quote from the mail: "(it appears that you have the original version of the tool; it has undergone an update which is basically a change in the scales and just a bit smaller knife blade)"
So..... I'm gonna keep my precious little retired Juicie and enjoy its purpleness... lol
Slim Jim! My modded S2Quick get a patent, name it the "Skele-Juice", and haggle a deal with Leatherman  :tu:

US prices make me cry
LM JS2 currently retailing for $109.95AUD (maybe $130US) at my swissarmyknife store in Oz.
I suppose I should be happy the listing tells me its reduced from $128.95 :D
Ouch! If I find a new Juice for $20 I will ship one to you.
Something weird going on, pre-2014 S2s on Amazon UK at £43, the cheapest I've seen.

Well if you do - that would be great and very generous :D - Thank you
I would be happy to cover all costs - Let me know
But don't go out of your way - I do have a 2nd hand S2 I picked up on the Bay for a lot less ;)
NB I mean a lot less than the Oz prices not $20!! :o
Was at Ross yesterday. They did not have any Juices. They had a few Crocs for $6, two Rimes for $10 and a 2 pack Style PS for $20.

Hey Thanks
Surely you do not mean a pack containing 2 Style PSs for $20
This is getting worse - 1 Style PS costs $48 AUD (~56? USD) over here
However not so keen on the Style - I like its style and looks - But it's a wee bit small for me and I have a PS4 = more tools
Juice C2 - It isn't just for breakfast any more.

Have had the S2 and CS4 and just got a new model XE6
Why did they shorten the blades?
Going to EDC it for a bit and see if it can top my Swisschamp
Just got a Juice S2 in a few days ago & wanted to spend some time with it, before saying what I thought of it. Oiled it up and all the tools open nice. The pliers are a bit tight but with a little opening and closing are going to loosen up just fine.
I was worried about the scissors opened up 90 degrees and they have a bit of play. Once the spring contacts the handle they tighten up an cut fine. There is a bevel on the handle where the spring contacts it & that takes the play out of the handle. I cut some 10 lb mono and some 30 & 50 lb braid, along with some paper, they work great.
This is my first tool with scissors so I not sure if I'll ever use them but at least I can say I have a MT with scissors.
It's going to make a nice fishing tool & if the scales were the same color it might even look good.
Has anyone tried polishing thee color off the handle?
I just received a old cs4 from 2003, in not really good condition (lot of idents, awl broken etc cheap price.). I hesitate to send it to repair as i probably will get a new one with the new blade. Advices?

Reshape the awl, give it a good clean and oiling, sharpen the blades, and carry it a while. I find putting tools to use is the best way of deciding whether they have a long term future with me, or if they need more work to be worth keeping

I have not had much luck with Juice XE6 lately. 3 out of 4 used units I purchased had one of the three flathead screw drivers twisted. They all cut my finger when trying to flick the troubled screw drivers out. Do people really consider these as heavy duty tools? :facepalm:I approach the flatheads from the side of the tool, rather than head on. Thats why theres that funny looking cutout exposing the nail nicks. Otherwise they do have a tendency to bite.
Yeah, I use the nail nicks to pull them out. The problem I had was with the previous owners forcing the twisted flat head screw drivers back into the handle, and clumped the three tools together. So, when I first received the defective tools, I had to use another tool to pry them out. I then filed and ground the twisted screw driver down, so it would not wedge in between the other drivers/ handle. By doing that, I ended up making the bad driver thinner and sharper, hence the likeliness of the bites.I have not had much luck with Juice XE6 lately. 3 out of 4 used units I purchased had one of the three flathead screw drivers twisted. I just received a Juice S2 that I bought on eBay. The tools are in good shape, but there is a ding on the handles where it was dropped on a hard surface. I've already ordered a set of pivots and will attempt to do the slim juice conversion and replace the handle scales. Wish me luck!
I have been trying to convince myself to get a juice for years. I always end up diverting to another model. The latest one was a skeletool. Not sure why. I have to say being a big fan of the surge, the ex6 looks the best for me, but I thinknj'm missing the point here. I need to change my mind set to the minimalist mind set.
Hopefully you'll be fine
I am not an expert - But I don't think we see too many counterfeit Leathermans/Juices
But we do see a lot of nearly new tools :tu:
- eg Tools that have been bought on a whim, or as a present, or as a toy, or to try out - then are unused/unwanted
They end up on ebay - and many are in great condition

Received in the mail today, the Juice is new in box. It may have been opened at some point but it appears unused. The tools are very tough to deploy, which may be to the newness of the leatherman. It appears legit though, was able to get it for about $50 which I was happy with for the older style. Happy to be an official juice club member. :D

Good god man, you scared the #*#*# out of me. My eyes were going to the seller first thing before even looking at he MT. In reality, that actually made me feel better seeing that one. Mine looks like a real leatherman to the T (probably because it is a real leatherman). But #*## man, I was dreading that punched in the gut feeling no man likes, the one of being played like a sucker.
Seriously, someone needs to add this gem to his collection. :multi:

I'll be interested to see if it is a mini or maxi Juice knockoff ( I have both, but up to now the only a green Juice I have is a genuine one).

I was sick of the pliers on my S2 keeping getting wedged on the 3-screwdriver side. My Surge was also in need of service, due to a broken tool. So, off to the Leatherman factory they went. :ahhh It might have been more than 6 years since the last time I sent a LM in. Last time was the Core, my very first LM.

I have several Juice models including multiple S2s. I first purchased a few for Christmas stocking stuffers and didn't encounter the plier wedging problem until early January. My wife came to me with her CS4 wedged tightly. She is sometimes leery of my brute force methods (I am 6'7" & weigh 250 lbs.) so I took it to another room to "fix it". I am sorry to say that it took a number of these incidents for me to actually study the problem and learn how it occurs. I adapted the way I close the Juice and never had another problem with the pliers becoming wedged under the flat drivers. I might still be having these problems if I hadn't purchased a C2 (liked the red color) that jammed every time. This made it easy to see how the problem occurred and make the adjustment to prevent it. Until then, I thought that it was a simple matter of making sure that the flat drivers were all fully seated.
Why would I put up with a quirky MT? It might defy logic, but there is just something about the various Juice models that I really like. If asked, I would say that the Charge TTI & AL are my favorite Leatherman tools. If someone were to follow me around, he would notice that I am always reaching for one of my Juice models (usually an S2) and that the Charges have a revered "collector status", stored safely in their sheaths in a drawer. I suppose that I don't really consider the Juice quirky any longer thanks to learning how to operate them (they are now trouble-free).

Always admired this purple colored XE6!
I found a good deal and bought a second Juice: S2.
I always wondered why the new versions blade was shorter than the available space for it.
There are threads explaining that it was a redesign aiming to make it TSA friendly but we know that TSA won't allow any blade at all.
As I looked at the Xe6 (previous edition) comparing it against the new S2 edition, for the first time I had the chance to confirm the difference (even though the length change took place several years ago)
Did Leatherman ever published a formal explanation on why did they shorten the blade for the new editions?
If it was a TSA related redesign, I wonder why they didn't go back to he former length once demonstrated that TSA doesn't accept the new size.

I have a Solar yellow as well  I am a fan of grey more than most colors and I was lucky to get this one NIB several years ago :dd: Besides the Juice Pro the Kf4 is the only of the Juice series I own and if you replace the serrated blade with scissors I would carry this one a lot more :tu: Still an awesome MT for how compact it is :like:
SAK scissors are definitely awesome but it is great if I can just carry 1 thing sometimes (like on weekends where I want to go lighter) never normally happens though  but I am all over a good SAK and MT combo :tu:

I have to admit that my fail example is a bit unusual and I haven't encountered another ordinary task that the Juice scissors couldn't handle. Now if I had encountered this problem earlier, I would not have purchased so many Juice models. On the plus side, my fail example led to a Victorinox EDC. :)
Great pics guys, after having 4 juices ,starting with a kf4 great tool but like scissors, stupidly traded it :-\ then got a s2 actually liked it's size but lacked a few tools, then got a xe6 cool but big and heavy,so now I've ended up with a cs4, like it other than the CS that I don't use, wish I still had my kf4 but you live and learn ,juices are a bit like Sak's there's plenty of models but usually a tool you don't need but no MT or sak is perfect :tu:
And the Schrade isn't too bad either.
Really pleased with the Juice I got. It cleaned up nicely, and the snap is great.
One thing I am not too sure about are the flatheads. They seem to be difficult to pull out at times, and boy they are sharp. One drew blood.
Just joined the Juice club with a KF4 from https://store.multitool.org/ And I was doing good not getting more tools for awhile.
Nice tool for an IT desk jockey, and a good complement for my key chain Rambler.
Just popping in with a quick pix during my Juice challenge. Nice medium size tool.Nice. :tu:

Nice Juice. I really like the PRO. The wear on the scales means you'll use it :tu:

IMHO, buying a brand new one is too pricey; it has better value when bought at used price but in barely used condition :tu:
Picked up used one several years ago. Date code 2009.
Perfect compromise size between the keychain like tools and the full size models.
I did have the use a small round file to enlarge the screwdriver access "nubs"
as it was very difficult to deploy with broken fingernails and cut fingers.
This was a fairly common complaint of the original version apparently.
Now it is great to use.
I carry in pocket with one of those Tec clips attached to the outside of FR pocket.
Luckily I am in jeans everyday.
Liked it so much that I purchased the new version just in case. New version has shorter knife. No big deal here.

BTW since PB took a dump, I haven't posted pictures anywhere. Don't really know how.
Now THAT is what I call a juicy juice!
Great pic!
Why are there no markings on the scales ? :dunno:One of many LM factory mistakes :)

In my collection more than 30 of that various freak juices.
Couldn't find a previous Juice Club, so adding one. :D

Very nice, I love the juice. I have a few, sad to see they have been dropped by leatherman.Agree the juice is a great tool and nothing in the current LM lineup quite matches the size/weight/utility ratio it has. Like you it had been a main carry for years but new things come along, you decide to go lighter etc, and it got a bit forgotten about.
For a long time I carried a wave for work and a juice cs4 for when not. But now have slimmed down a bit to a Skeletool and c2 as figured pliers/knife/screwdrivers were all I really needed 99.9% of the time.
Collection update 😁

I’m still reading through this thread, trying to find the earliest date codes. Does anybody know?
Earliest Juices' date codes - 0401.Just checked my CS4 and it’s 0901, so does that make it September 01 or January 09… or neither  :dunno:
Prototypes (with chem etched inscriptions) are undated.

I was getting a bit excited there for a minute
So quite an early one, cool
Sorrry, correct is September 2001 :)Haha, I just quoted you and saw it had changed! Cool I’m rather pleased about that :tu:

Excited to say I scored 2 (juice c2) today both brand new, one out of the display case and the other one still in box and unopened. Furthermore they were discounted! This was at a local orvis that is going out of business.Congratulations great find :like:
Keeping the one for myself and not sure what I’ll do with the other. Perhaps keep it in its box as a backup.
First juice and I’m looking forward to edc it for a while.
Any of you carry it in a leather slip in pocket? If so can you point me to one that fits it?
:iagree: Since they have been discontinued you would do well to put the one up and save it :salute: I rarely carry a Juice but they are a great size  Congrats on getting them on discount :tu:Thanks been lurking for ages but first post! I generally carry a Swiss tool x as my preferred multi tool (I also have a LM free p4 that I don’t really like) and I have a skeletool and a freestyle for when I want something even smaller - but I’m thrilled for the juice as an alternative to a SAK.
Also, welcome to :MTO:
Congrats ! I have the exact same one logo and all :tu:I got lucky with this one. Other than some very minor scuffs on the handles it is like new. Once I got the factory burr off the blade it went straight in my pocket.
The Juice line had so much potential and I was sad to see it go :-\I didn't even know it went until I was reading some of the posts in here.

Nice pics, everyone :tu:
I have two quick questions -
1. What is the Leatherman Collectors Club, and how do I join?
2. When is the next Juice challenge 8)
The Leatherman Collectors Club is a Club that is on social media (ie Facebook and Instagram) you have to be active in Social Media with Leatherman tool pics and use the hashtag #leathermancollectorsclub
You have to show a pic of your collection (which should include quite a few ;) and have special models, old school tools, maybe anniversary editions and if possible signed tools by Tim Leatherman) to them via PM and then get voted in or not :salute:
How many tools are you up to now :pok: :D
I just did a quick count - I have 56 Leathermans. :ahhh Well, 57 because I just purchased a Tread Tempo LT w/ watch.
I think Rich has LM Geer disease. In its more advanced stages the afflicted individual buys enough of certain models that they can carry a different one each day of the week :ahhh
After tallying the number of LMs I have, I have reached the conclusion that I have a (slightly) less aggressive variant of the disease :D
You are getting there :salute: :D congrats on getting the Tempo LT :like:
I try not to count anymore

Hi Adam, will SAK corkscrew tools fit in the Juice’s corkscrew slot? Like the fine screwdrivers and FireAnt firestarter kit?not adam, but I 3d printed one of the pieces that you could put the leatherman eyeglass driver in and it threads in perfectly. Someone asked me to create one that would do that for 4mm bits and there isn't enough room for them, so i don't know about the firestarter kit
Trolling Craigslist again and found an amazing buy that I couldn't pass up, even though my Juice Collection already has 3 pro's. This one is out of a time warp, Not a scratch in the anodized color, none of the blades seem used with the exception of the Plain edge which is slightly dull but doesn't look rounded. The tweezer doesn't appear to have ever tweezed. The case looks like it just came out of a box. The felt is even cushy still. The pocket clip has no wear... And I got it for a steal, $80 plus shipping since Florida is 1400 miles away.
I expect a few drooly icons over this one
if anyone is looking for a less cosmetically perfect Juice pro I'll sell you one for what it cost me plus shipping, obviously.
Oh wow :o Comgrats, cnlson  The KF4 is my favorite Juice 8) :like: :like:
Another Craigslist steal! $45 +shipping
Kf4 in perfect condition, factory edges still razor sharp. No scratches or dents in the scales. Could be mistaken for fresh out of the package
So now I have a less cosmetically perfect kf4 and juice pros to sell.
Is there a marketplace somewhere on mto?
(https://forum.multitool.org/index.php?action=dlattach;ts=1642013003;topic=24084.0;attach=529392)Same with the Pro, The KF4 was made from 2001 -06 https://wiki.multitool.org/tiki-index.php?page=Juice+Series
That is a super cool catch !!
Looks like it is from the era LM milled the "USA" stamp on the pliers head mold?
Same with the Pro, The KF4 was made from 2001 -06 https://wiki.multitool.org/tiki-index.php?page=Juice+Seriesactually i am wrong, the Pros have TOOL in that spot. So i have one cs4 and one xe6 with USA 2 kf4's with the milled and 1 xe6 with nothing (gen 2) and 4 pro's with TOOL
so the original ones would have had USA and the later ones might have had Tool in that spot. but there was an in between time where they cnc milled out the USA
actually i am wrong, the Pros have TOOL in that spot. So i have one cs4 and one xe6 with USA 2 kf4's with the milled and 1 xe6 with nothing (gen 2) and 4 pro's with TOOL
;)I wonder how that happened. The Pro was from 2002 long after the Made in USA lawsuit. the KF4's I have from 2001 are the milled ones so... ??? ???
(https://content-13.foto.my.mail.ru/mail/wowaboro/259/b-1038.JPG) (https://content-13.foto.my.mail.ru/mail/wowaboro/259/b-1038.JPG)
A lot of the time you won't find any rhyme or reason with the Juices :ahhh Especially the earlier ones :salute:
I really wonder if it was market based. For instance Cali bound tools (where the lawsuit was) got the milled or TOOL, same for costco since they wouldn't know where an individual tool was going, and USA for other markets.
Since at the time, Leatherman was convinced that they would win.
I am also now curious about the Free P4/P2, As I was looking for USA on my other Leatherman tools only the Free P2 has USA on the pliers and on the Combo blade (i don't have the p4 or any k). Even my newest purchase, A Charge plus, does not have any USA markings on it and, that I can find, no indication of country of origin, only mentioning Oregon. And has anyone else noticed, no neat little manual telling you what each tool was, like the old days? Just a 1 page piece of cardboard with how to open and how the locks work.
So I assume the Free series are solely American parts?
I wonder how that happened. The Pro was from 2002 long after the Made in USA lawsuit. the KF4's I have from 2001 are the milled ones so... ??? ???
I just checked all 4 Pro's I have and they were all made 04/02. I wonder if it varies by market. Where they changed to "Tool" or grinding for different markets?
edit
so strange, So I looked at the CS4 with USA and one of the KF4 with milled. The cs4 is from 01/02 and the kf4 is from 09/01 So seemingly no rhyme or reason.
Great pic, Surge :like:
Well, I won't mislead you further :)You made me check at all of mine again...
It's just another item from my collection of "Freak" Juices (tools with some factory errors).
Date codes: 0402 0202 and the reverse side of his pliers is quite normal ;)
:hatsoff:  Ponchoaren't locking knives a problem over there?
Decided to carry my CS4 today (it's the only Juice I have) and a Spydie ;)
Happy Sunday awl :salute: :drink:
Nice pic ! :like:
aren't locking knives a problem over there?
They are "potentially" problematic insofar as you need to have "lawful authority" or "reasonable excuse" to be carrying one (of ANY size)i think there are a few states here in the US that are like that also.
I use the former for my work official issue carry and the latter for my SAR stuff (voluntary)
Wandering the streets without either is going to get you locked up, if stopped, followed by an interview sans biscuits :pok:
I also just have an honest face  ;)
If you want to know more the HH website has a good grasp of it without too much legal mumbo-jumbo :tu:

Not practical for pocket carry and definitely need a sheath to carry this around.I've carried mine in a pocket, but I agree that it's better suited to a sheath. Now I just need to get hold of a sheath for it...
I can't remember if I replied to this thread already and I'm too lazy to look it up ::)
I currently only own an S2 - it's about the perfect combination of tools for me. The can opener sucks, but it's better than nothing. I had a Juice Pro but sold it to a guy at work who fell in love with it. I think it stinks that LM discontinued the series; they were great pocket tools!
I don't feel like they ever pushed that series like some of there other tools.:iagree: Profit margins on the various flavors of Juice were probably smaller than on the larger tools. Still, I'd like to see the Juice make a comeback. At least there are plenty of them on the secondary market.
Nice FX :like:
The Pro is on my wishlist

They could at least make it full flat grind and/or try to get a Wharncliffe/sheepfoot instead of "odd"
Or even serrations compensate the poor steel/grind
the juice was a competitor for the SAKs so the blades are sort of like a SAK blade, The back of the blade follows the handle contour and the front is fairly flat with a little upturn on the end for the first gen.
The second gen was clipped in size for the possibility of carry on and airplane, with that getting nipped in 2013 or so. but the blades had to have a 1/2" ground off so they are wierdly shaped at the point.
Big congrats, Echo :woohoo: :like:
Good on cnlson
Those are my favorite 2 models of the Juice series :tu: :like:
Thanks @cnlson KF4 and Pro arrived today.Congratulations on completing your Juice lineup! :tu: If the Pro is to be carried, I think you'll like it quite a bit.
would add an SX if I ever saw one at a reasonable price but not sure I’ve even seen one for sale.

My first CS4 (in the foreground of first pic) I’ve had 20 years (dated 0901) and is what I take with me when I travel. Non-locking and lightweight with perfect balance of tools, makes it great for travel
I don’t see much mention of the CS3 but IMO it’s a perfect addition to an EDC knife to give you scissors and openers

Hey a question for you Juce fans ......
I have not got any Juce larger that the KF4 - But I always thought that if you wanted a larger (ie fatter) model - Then you might as well go for a full sized MT eg Wave or such like. (I usually have an S2 in my pocket at the weekend! :) ) So very interested to hear about the love y'all have for those big Juice models.
I suppose you get a lot more functionality in what still weighs a lot less than the full sized models ...... Interested to hear more thoughts ............
For A$50 posted how could I resist :dunno: :rofl:That's $35.19 US as of this post. Wish I could find deals like that. And I gotta ask: red or gray?

Do you know what the more I think about the Juices the more I like themSame here. The PST2 (always in my wallet) and the S2 (easy to slip in a pocket when without a wallet) are my most worn LMs hands down, and my personal favorite. You can have the best tools, if they are too heavy to wear naturally, you don't, and therefore don't use them as you should, which is all the time.
To the extent that - If you asked me to name my favourite Leatherman - I'd probably say my Juice C2
Yep my Skeletool is cool
Yep love my Wave as it's so capable and it was my first
Yep the ST300 is so mean and beefy
Yep love the PST as it is such a neat package, so convenient and as it really was the first
But the one that is in my pocket, or with me the most, used the most, and therefore liked like the most is my C2!
SteveC said he had dropped something in the mail for me this week and didn't say what it was :ahhh
I received the package yesterday evening and was floorboarded :o :ahhh
It was a Juice S2!!! (https://i.imgur.com/UjJqxyc.gif)

So at the time i bought that orange s2, i actually had another iron in the fire and so I now have 2. Interestingly the plier heads are slightly different. the newer one has a blunter nose and coarser teeth, the older one has much finer nose and teeth

The colored handle( scale) as they were called. were tightly tone matched first month or so of assembly. Mine is dated 0401.. if you have perfectly matched scale color then you have an earlier model whether it be green, blue ect. Too much time and eye strain was taken to tone match so we just put them together. Too tight or loose on the rivet machine( also tensioned components). Had to hand grind rivet- pop out with a pin tap while keeping the components in place- replace scale- repin rivet and send back to riveter. Until the Riveter was adjusted properly some tools went through the same process three or four times till perfect..Very interesting TA, 0401 would have to be a very early example wouldn’t it?
Great history lesson and pics, ToolAssembly :salute: :like:Thanks Poncho :tu: :hatsoff:

Could it have come with it originally, or do you think it was a separate purchase. Thank you for any insight. :hatsoff:
Thank you Vicman and SurgeUK. :hatsoff:
That is a PST or PST II sheath
The Juice models actually had 2 different sheaths at least, a polycarbonate one that was clear and a black fake leatherette type with a clip and velcro closure like the one in Surges link :tu:
I have the second type but not the first one
Thank you Vicman and SurgeUK. :hatsoff:
Sure do like that clear holster @temo. :like:
