Pretty certain a member here from NZ had a swisschamp XL for sale some time back, whether it was ever sold I couldn't say. I was often tempted to buy but then fell out with victorinox altogether and haven't bought a Vic since.
On a side note, the Workchamp XL is a BEAST of a tool, everytime I handle mine it puts a huge grin on my face :D
I apologize, I am referring to the SwissChamp XL.
I will try to change the title of the thread if it is not too late.

Okay, now you're just showing off ... ::)
;)
Apparently, if you get sufficiently lucky, like Jaydar (https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,75091), you can get one of them for a price that makes even the one Top-Gear-24 got seem overpriced. As far as "properly advertised" Swisschamp XLs go, it looks like one seller sold a few of them on eBay over the last 18 months or so. One seems to have been auctioned and sold for $510 (https://www.ebay.com/itm/112215672828) and then more recently, this item (https://www.ebay.com/itm/112653764956), this item (https://www.ebay.com/itm/112655110430) and this item (https://www.ebay.com/itm/112718815845) appear to have been sold for $600 each as "Buy It Now" items. It's unclear to me if he really sold so many or that some of the apparent sales didn't really complete.
Apparently, if you getsufficientlyextremely lucky, like Jaydar, you can get one of them for a price that makes even the one Top-Gear-24 got seem overpriced.

FTFY ;).Show contentAnd you would have to move to Switzerland first :pok:.Show contentAnd Jaydar hasn't said anything about the condition of the Swisschamp XL he found :pok:.Show contentDon't mind me, I'm just trying to convince myself that my deal was the best :P.

You said in another topic that you didn't know where to go on vacation, do I have to say it ... :pok:
There's a place called "SAK Heaven", it's not that far away from our country, and sometimes it seems as if there's a surprise SAK behind every counter. I've never spend so much money on "souvenirs" like I did during my trip to Switzerland. And you can visit the Mecca for SAK fans ... Ibach.Show content(https://i.imgur.com/FshmjwD.jpg)
Let's face it, a region that they call "the Swiss Knife Valley" has to be good, right ;).

Mechy: "I think it's called the Swiss Something Valley, I, euh ... forgot the name ..."

P.S.: Two "active" Belgians on this forum, and still we manage to derail each thread the two of us enter ...

I have a friend that has found a Like New Swisschamp XL and wants to know its value, anybody throw a hand at us? :tu:
I could not find any recent listings, sold or auctioned, on eBay :ahhh
Thanks a lot
Is this one going for sale?Get in line!
Put me in the queue. :cheers:Is this one going for sale?Get in line!
:twak:
Is this one going for sale?
I'd want to trade some Alox, but I am at least second in line. So I will wait until Mechanickal has his shot at it.Is this one going for sale?
Actually he is considering selling it. Do you want me to ask him?
What would you consider a fair price?
I do not know what he plans to do with it but he stumbled upon this one and he is more of an alox guy :salute:
How about this one ? no box, but mint. Original scales. Offers ?Oooooh! :dd:
FB, go ahead!Okay, thank you for the update.
I bought the Heritage this month so I'm out of cash ;)
Is there any Alox specifically he's looking for for a possible trade? 400E is possibly reasonable, just more than I'm will to spend in cash at this time.
He asks for what kind of aloxes you may have, and if you'd add cash to male an equal trade :cheers:I am currently working on a possible purchase. If it doesn't work out, and your friend still has it, I will post some photos of my Alox.
an excuse also so you make an alox Showoff! :D
well, since we have a few people interested in this and one potential buyer, I asked for additional pics of the XL from my forum mate,:like: :gimme: :like:
here they are for your delight :climber:

they don't close with a snap and a little push is required to drive the blades fully into the tool :ahhh
Something to do with them having 3mm pivot holes? :think:they don't close with a snap and a little push is required to drive the blades fully into the tool :ahhh
AIUI, that's normal for the pruner/e-blade layer on these SAKs. It's certainly the case on my XLT.
