Title: Bic lighter modded to a Spark Lite
Post by: Thisjk38 on February 25, 2014, 02:18:47 AM
So I saw this on YouTube yesterday and gave it try. It's modding an empty Bic lighter into a spark thrower. I must say it works great so I decided to share it here. I tested it on dryer lint, cotton balls, and twine. They all light up with out a problem. I tried to light a cotton ball with just a regular empty lighter and had no luck. So this mod is very useful.

Here is the one I made. I lit the ball on my first try. I didn't cut the body but you can and will be able to store a cotton ball or two.

The flint in Bic throw away's is massive :o
I always pull them apart when they run out and use the flints for Clipper lighters or in this http://www.survivaldepot.co.uk/product/survival_sparkier the black flints are much better than gold/bronze ;)
