At work today when i was checking my email i saw that my wave parts arrived today!! (thanks Loki!)
I rushed home from work as soon as i got off and picked them up! :mail:
I tore up the the letter and pulled out some beutiful blades an awl and a bit holder (which i realise now might not work with my plans shame on me for not checking messurments ::) )
I also have a pair of wingman scissort i might put use untill i get my hands on some fiskars scissors from the gerber flik or something similar i like the consept of folding scissors
Now i just need to get into town and purchase some T10 safety bits and then to rip into my waves!
To be continued..

Can't wait to see what it looks like when your done.
-
Allright so yesterday i went in to town and got the securitybits i needed to get started!
I also picked up a mini torch to melt the factory loctite.
I have started working on the waves but pictures and more detailed progress is going to have to wait untill after the weekend.
However i have an Idea since i have 1 silver wave aswell im thinkin of mixing parts silver and black.. thoughts?
Something anyone would like to see?
-
Split the plier head. Half silver and half black. I've yet to see that yet

I've seen the BO and Silver mixed on Gerber mods which looks cool. I'd keep the BO with BO and Silver with Silver. I'm boring I know.
While you have the tools apart try for yourself and see how you like it.

This would be awesome but i dont quite have the tools to make it happen^^
-
so tomorrow we will do a detailed uppdate but for now here is my dog with the rebarhead wave (insert name here)
-
Allright! time to get to it!
First off dissasebly. I think all of you know what needs to be done.
Heat the pivots for about 10-15 sec i did this using a mini torch have seen this done with a soldering iron aswell.
Then i pulled out my MT slaughter bench (thanks to Metro for the idea) very simple creation drill 2 holes in a aluminium slab and thread one of them.
(can add holes for spare bits etc probly gonna improve it further on)

After heating the screws come out really easy.. if they dont heat more!
Push the pivit out and blade swap is easy (screws are always on the side where the file/saw is so need to remove entire pin to get to the blade)

To fit the wingman scissors u need to make the hole in the scissors a bit bigger and i smurfed this up because i was inpatient to get this done so i didnt bring this to work and to drilled it out but did it at home instead with a dremmel witch resulted in a bit of play sadly easy fix however just need to get some really small pipe drill the hole a bit so it gets perfectly round push in the pipe and drill it to the right size.

It fits but dont have full spring tention so i removed it for now but some pics of what it looked like for a while^^

Here is what it looks like at the moment just a standard BO wave with S30V blade
(https://scontent-ams3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/16473714_400421630311977_7227651391887531990_n.jpg?oh=5772f7843d9e6685c5fe1a4a2947b225&oe=5942D1E8)
Now to my main tool
Parts before assembly
(https://scontent-ams3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/16473305_400421686978638_2305799220811517474_n.jpg?oh=451be84f197236d1ef8b9b1d01b74ff5&oe=59391F86)
I decided to go with my original idea for now and use the awl and extra bit driver and since the total is a bit thick ..to the beltsander!
Finished it off with some 600 grit wet.
Sadly the awl feels a littlebit weak.. so lets see what happens in use this might not be the final settup either but it works for now!
Then installed the Rebar head (which was crazy easy just pops right in) and the 154 cm blade
However when closed the pliers engaged the blade locking mecanism so i took out the diamondcoated file on my silver wave and just filed them down a bit, even tho i was tempted to do a zoidberg and compleatly remove the lock.
Plier head must be fully engaged to file the lock as easy as possible like so

Swapped the bits from my skeletool into my new (insert name here)
And it is done!!.. For now

played around with the blades today moved both knives to same side just to try it out.
I like how it feels exept that it results in a tiny bit of play.
-
I went zoidberg :salute: on it today!
removing the blade lock to stop it from pushing against the saw because it was very annoying
I am also going to recive more parts and such for these projects sometime in march depending on when loki gets his delivery :woohoo: and i scored a pair of scissors from my gerber diesel wich i will try to get in there..
I am considering starting separate threads for these tools when my new parts arrive to!
Fly safe pals

Mail! Mail! and more mail! :mail: :mail:
Thanks to loki for the parts :D
And i finally got my hands on a gerber flik and I will probly use the scissors in one of my waves

First of all TEAR APART THE REBAR!
Now I first took appart the wave with the knifeblades on one side and put in dedicated philips and flatheads toghether with an awl and sharpened the canopener to be used as a boxopener etc aswell
Here is the result :D
(https://scontent-arn2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t31.0-8/r270/16992332_411626882524785_7592235748415032265_o.jpg?oh=d5a365de6ec3bcbea74319b843e361f8&oe=593CDA74)
I called it the zoidwave since it was zoidbergs trick to remove the bladelocks that made me do it.
However this settup didnt live long but we will come back to that..
Other than the parts you have seen i have also got a couple of really small screws that i think will make perfect thumb studs im however still waiting for a drillbit to arive (wierd size so no store nearby sells it)
Well enough sidetrack back to Waves!
My main edc wave The Crow was next to the butchering block.
I decided to remove the second bit driver for now even tho i liked it i wanted to try some other settups for now unfortunally i didnt find anything other than the mini screwdriver to fit the middle section so this practicly returned into a regular wave with an awl instead of scissors, 154 cm PE knife and Hookblade serrated
(https://scontent-arn2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/15578488_411628109191329_8195261353141161954_n.jpg?oh=d9a730da819b45434313bd4e5b447529&oe=596E1EA6)
Lets see how much use the mini driver will see if it just sits there I will probly return to the dual bit driver settup.
ATTACK OF THE REAVERS!!!
While looking at the remains of what once was my rebar, I was wrestling with the idea of making a Black Oxide reaver as i have so many times before and i decided that there was nothing else to do but to try it!
So as I where saying the zoidwave didnt live long im afraid, it was slain by a vicious reaver.
and with the spare parts i had lying around the battlefield a second one was born.
For now the butchering is over..
For now the tools are at peace...
