Whew... when I first heard about titan (in a book back in the 80s) it semed so special and rare that I never thought I'd ever get my hands on a single piece of that metal.
So imagine my joy when my dad gave me a Pulsar Titanium watch about 20 years ago!
Quite a lot of Ti surrounds me now- from the wonderful Syph-Climber to my torchlights (Eos ITP and Thrunite T101), to a tritium-marker in Ti-encasing, a Keith-carabine that guards my knives, a kubotan that guards me, and even a Sebenza-copy which I'm not really proud of, but which accompanied me before I even knew who Chris Reeve or a quality knife was (Chris, one day, I promise!).
In the background there are some slabs of titan which are supposed to become a beltbuckle (someday) and turbine-blades from a Panavia Tornado.... and an F14 Tomcat ;-)
Titan... aah!

... forgot one... but it's a fitting occasion ;-)
A long row of years ago I worked in a supermarket to fill my wallet during my studies. I always took shifts on Friday and Saturday afternoons and nights and had six years in a row on the 23rd and sometimes 24th of December. That gave me a nice extra which partly summed up into my very first Titanium knife - the extravaganza which is CRKT M16 01T
Spent years in my pocket (the clip is terribbly worn) until some people in the German bundestag (parliament) decided to outlaw one-hand opening and locking blades.
It's still a shame to have some of my best knives sitting at home :-[
