We gonna add the entire SAK lineup, past and present?
Ah, eh. :DWe gonna add the entire SAK lineup, past and present?
I was waiting for that question.....
I think trying to assemble a full list of every SAK ever made would make this list a lot longer than it needs to be....
Def
Copying and pasting is awkward on this phone, but....
LM's gardening tools/pruners
Sideclip
Crater series (some have drivers, so they count)
Raptor
BG Strata - don't know the official designation for that tool, as it was the set not the tool that was named
Where is pfsantos to organize all these names in "his way"?
Hello Sir. Before I potentially create any confusion in cutting and pasting ;)
Would you be interested in the one offs like the pocket wrench or Emerson MTs? Or you just going for big guns?

You know. There is a gem behind the comment there. Maybe start a separate thread of Ultimate MT JUNK List?
I'd volunteer to start it but my newbie skills are barely keeping up with the main group. This would be so cool!!
Is it clear that Schrade Century were made by alder?
I remember that that was not verified, last time I looked
Also, if we include those, then we will need to include the SAK knives and the various camp knives, hunting knives, survival knives made by various companies
As anyone asked? What is the next step for the MT Tool List?
hey, what about the Flip cheapo!?
and the True Utility? SwissTech? Kilimanjaro? Jakemy?
:tu:
You know it is kind a sad that as I am scrolling through the list, I think to myself that I have most of them.
some moderator :) needs to put all of these together
some moderator :) needs to put all of these together
I'm not going anywhere near it. :ahhh
When it comes to GAW lists, they jump on it like a dog at a bone.some moderator :) needs to put all of these together
I'm not going anywhere near it. :ahhh
Sounds like a job for the OCD squad  :D
That is a very limited Multitasker knife created to commemorate the Version 2.1 Multitasker. The blade is ceramic.
and BuckI added Buck... did I miss any?
Agreed. I think this will greatly help the Multitool Encyclopedia too.
Def
I pity the man that will have to add and organise all the ganzo related models.Or they could just copy the existing list and paste it under Ganzo...
Do the black out versions need to be added?
I no longer own the two in the photo, but I did at one time, and they came from the factory like that, not a mod.

How far into left field do we want to go? Should the list include Crank Brothers, Topeak, Kelvin 23?
How far into left field do we want to go? Should the list include Crank Brothers, Topeak, Kelvin 23?
How far into left field do we want to go? Should the list include Crank Brothers, Topeak, Kelvin 23?It wouldn't be much of an Ultimate list if we left stuff out.....
OCD  Ok I added Buck Summit and gregozedobe additions, less re-labels

Thanks TLB :salute: :tu:
Great job!
The list is really filling out. I'm not sure I expected it to be quite so big! :ahhh
Def
I think I was expecting that more from Paulo than you! :P
What about the Stanley and DeWalt series of tools? I don't know the official names of most of them, plus there's a whole series of new (crappy) Schrade tools that aren't on the list yet.
Def
...and how far back do we go? ???
.......The Stanley Watch Tool I don't think ever had a real name. If there was, I don't think we ever learned it, or at least not that I recall.

I feel like this list is just an excuse for me to go out and buy more tools :like:
I'll give this a shot again once I get to the laptop but so far I keep screwing the list up. Maybe on the next update someone could kindly add please the P51 and add a spell out for FRED as Field Ration Eating Device. Easier to look up. Though the Aussie soldiers would call it the F....ing Ridiculous Eating Device. Maybe Grant would allow the latter 😞

I figured having two was only one check mark. Two is one and one is none, right? :D
Def
Also, just like we did with the recent Multitool Of The Year polling I was thinking that we could do a Top Multitool of All Time but I'm not sure how much of that list will actually make it to the poll. It's a bit too big and people are likely to get lost in it.

Def
Maybe start a new thread, allow people to nominate their favourite tool, and maintain the list in the first post.
Then after a fixed date put all the nominations into a poll. Hopefully you would end up with a list that wasn't too big.
Also, just like we did with the recent Multitool Of The Year polling I was thinking that we could do a Top Multitool of All Time but I'm not sure how much of that list will actually make it to the poll. It's a bit too big and people are likely to get lost in it.

Yeah, that has also been an option bouncing around in my head.
One thing I have noticed about this place over the years is that in some cases members are too knowledgeable, and whenever you think you have all the bases covered it is just an invitation for someone to say "but what about the ________?"
I figured this time we would try to cover all the bases!

Awesome!
I think for the poll we might end up having to pick the top 50-60 and maybe leave the option to write in anything that isn't listed. This would be way too big a list for people to go through.

I'd start off with a top 20 and add nominations in from there - that will help (but not guarantee) that the list remains a usable size. I'll get in early and nominate the LM Squirt P4 (just edging out the LM Crunch).

I thought about that, but 20 barely covers the top Leatherman models. :ahhh

Nothing big, just my two cents: There's also unmentioned in the list CRKT Tabor SpareTool.
Been so long working on this list I forget what we are going to do with it now :ahhh :ahhh
