the Nitecore Defender Infinity
Great light! That's one of the many I always wanted to buy but just never got around to it. As I recall, it was the unique UI that always tempted me.
-
:ahhh :ahhh Shame on me, only a Preon 2 in my pocket :ahhh Ohh, and an Olight i3s in my CMC wallet. Ah and an E01 on my keys..... lol
-
These two today, a ZebraLight SC51 and a Quantum D2.

Me too. Although for me I wanted it since it had my name on it! :P
It was a gift and one I liked too much to risk it at work. I still feel like that but I hate seeing it sitting there as a backup. It's too nice a light to leave behind.
I'm sure the member who gave it to me would prefer to see it being used on a daily basis rather than sitting in a box somewhere despite the risk!

Yes, of course... There are a bunch of Surefire models with your name on them too. Be sure to get each of those. :D

Agreed. Life is too short to leave the good tools on the shelf. :tu:

Excellent summation there Terry! You are absolutely correct!

Well, it's Flashlight Friday again, and I'm carrying around the same 'ol stuff I had last Friday! ::)
So much for variety! :twak:

Well that only says you found a good setup.
Or maybe you should make a wheal of fortune kind of rack (horizontal one though) and just spinn it in the morning to decide which one gets carried that day. :P
I knew I'd be coming home before dark so I only had the Quantum D2 on my keyring on me. There is always a Quark AA^2 in my trunk though. :D
-
Well that only says you found a good setup.
Indeed, but how boring is that?
What it really comes down to is what I'm wearing... Friday is the only day I can wear jeans to work, and the Quark AA Tac is my preferred jeans-carry. The rest of the week I mix it up quite a bit.
No worries though... Next week I'll have some new stuff to show, including one engraved with "V54". ;)

Flashlight Friday!
My new 12V socket LED light. Because you just never know! :D

What's the face switch next to your heated seats?
-
It looks like that switch activates an AC outlet. That is how AC outlets are shaped in North America.
Def, does your Jeep have a built-in DC>AC inverter?
-
It does indeed and that is exactly what it is. :D

Cool!

In honor of FF, I carried three flashlights today:
Zebralight SC52 in my left front pocket
Veleno Designs Quantum D2 in the coin pocket
Fenix E01 in a Skinth on my belt, with the Pulse, Vic Cadet and PWII
-
I got a led lenser m1 on me now but I'm going to swap it out when I get home and grab my brightest one for Flashlight Friday Night :D
-
just realised I have 4 on me today. ZL H51, Quantum d2, 47s Mini Cr2 and a Spark
-
I got two Olight's on me for Flashlight Friday Night
a little single cr123 S10 I got as my Secret Santa Gift from a member . Its turned into one if my favorite lights to use and carry. 400 lumens . Amazing. I can't believe all that light comes out of that little thing.
And A SR51 Intimidator running off 6 cr123's about 900 lumen's
I'm waiting on it to get dark so I can get the pic I want to take.

not that cheap for what it is, but bought a LED Lenser A3 as a handy little light that takes a single "get em anywhere" AAA cell.

and they do make nice looking lights...

and my Fenix L0D has been serving as keyring carry for a while.

Thanks! I like to carry the Skeletool on "minimalist" days. I find that it's not a tool that is really great at anything, but it is handy for a number of tasks, has a stout blade and is easy to carry.

There's an oldie-but-goodie! I haven't seen an L0D in a while, but used to own one several years ago.
I've moved away from Fenix in recent years. Of the many, many flashlights I've owned, Fenix brand lights are the only ones with which I've had reliability issues. One example is the LD02 SS that my wife carries in her purse. It was warrantied a few years ago due to failure, and the replacement just failed a couple of weeks ago. It's really a shame, because Fenix is the brand that began my foray into flashlight collecting (L1T model).
-
Been edc ing my rotary since I got it recently.
Rather modded too.
-
It's flashlight Friday! I got a little tired of the normal, required face in the crowd look and carried a little color at work today. :) Nitecore Smart PD EX10 with re-flashed firmware and XP-G emitter.

Led Lenser A3 I picked up on a trip recently. Reminds me of the Maglite Solitaire I had on my keyring for years but this puts out a respectable amount of light.

I'm trying to think, but I suspect this is the very light that got me into quality LED lights. 8) It's a shame you've had poor experiences with them though. For my part I've only ever had their AAA lights (E01, E05 and this L0D) and so far so good.
-
Me too. I got into great lights after the Fenix L1D, but the L0D was my first real Edc.
Here's my current one. The preon Revo, stainless. Modded of course. Nichia 219 on the keychain. This is a spare on tec p7 clip with neutral xpg2.
-
Here's a thread that died a death. Time for some CPR.
Been carrying my Hugsby XP-1 for the last couple of days and, so far, I'm impressed. Nice bright single mode 1xAAA light, tail switch, pleasant beam colour and, very important here, cheap. ;)
-
This week I got the Thrunite T10S with the new XP-L emitter. 0,15/13/208 lumens on a single AA battery, with memory and no hidden flashy modes. What's not to like? :D
So far I like it very much. Yes, the full SS construction makes it a bit heavier in the pocket but I don't mind it in this case. I wanted an SS clicky in my arsenal. ;)
Only wish the pocketclip's front lip was raised higher, it's a bit dificult cliping it to thicker winter clothing materials.

I was having a look at that earlier. Aren't you dropping quite a few lumen with the Nichia? I know it's supposed to be very efficient and have a great colour, but I'm not certain it's worth it myself. Plus you lose the party piece of overdriving with a 14500 to get the 700-ish lumen output. 8)
-
Yes there is a bit of a lumen drop. The XML cool white is 140 OTF lumens.
I wouldn't direct drive a light of this size. It will get very hot, very quickly.

The specification page seems to show a neutral white XM-L as well as the Nichia: http://www.eagletac.com/html/d25arc/specs.html
If that's still a real option, that's what I'd go for I think. Mine is a little older and has the neutral white XP-G2.

This is my new little guy, a nice little find I think, perfect for the keychain! Yeah it's a little bigger then those freedoms, but in the same weight class and yet throw off 45lm, and get this, "rechargeable"! At first when I got it, it didn't have any juice so I had to find something to recharge it, that's the only downer, it doesn't come with a charger, you gotta find something to charge via mini usb! Luckily my wife's kindle worked, cause I thought a standard usb would work.. Other then that I think it's great, not all fancy, just low, high, and hold for everything in between, no flashy or code.. I think I grabbed it, well the wife did for me, for  $10?

Nothing new here but my only true EDC flashlight is my Fenix E05 on my keychain, for the size and price it's a great little AAA light :tu:

I bought one and it hasn't been very reliable sadly. Not sure why but it doesn't hold a charge very well. Hopefully mine is just a one off :(
They are a great idea though. :)
-
That's a shame Mike. I really like the idea as well and have had one sitting on my wish list for the last few weeks. As you say; hopefully it's just yours. Thought about sending it back?
-
Well it only cost £7 from Hong Kong and the company said I'd have to pay shipping to send it back so its just noir worth it :(
When it works it is great though as its pure flood :)

Sorry to hear, I've had mine for two weeks and it's still bright, I haven't used it besides a few sec here and there, but it's still holding a bright light/charge.
