You want to use closing on a new home as an excuse to buy new tools?  Sure.  We'll go along with that. ;)

Following tradition, I think I will start See-through Sunday a little early so our eastern friends can take part if they wish.  Red Tinker with a Buckthorn.  They are pretty when they have red berries later on.  The plant not the SAK.  Best wishes.  G

No kidding, she is!   :tu:

She is a stunner, I am quite lucky, she is a cuter modern version of Rita Hayworth.....and stupidly clever (she is a principal medical statistician and senior Physicist)

Nice one, Mr. T.  I will send along a chart so you can see all the variations for the 108mm.  I never tried to take a bail off a SAK.  Didn't you want to put a bail ON the olive drab one?  The chart is one of SAAM's from a now defunct web site.  Best wishes.  G

This one also arrived and luckily it did have a saw cover! Anyone have any ideas on how to get the bail off? And yes, some autos are nice although I'd never really carry them around. Many knives can be opened even faster. Has anyone on this site modded a SAK to make it auto?

Day 16:

No Explorer use yesterday, but Houston got clobbered by another storm. Our rain gauge is up to 10.3” for the month of May.

Dang that’s a lot of rain for only half the month.

Saw that hsherzfeld was in the path of some nasty storms. Hope he's okay.

Great stuff from awl! :tu:

I don’t think he posted yesterday…or he’s a day behind like I am? hope all is well with him.

I have no direct experience, but I have read comments several times by people who sent a Squirt in for warranty service and were giving back a new Micra.

The scissors spring on my blue Squirt PS4 broke a year or so ago.  I have yet to send it in because we were very busy and I have other tools.  Now I see this has been discontinued, and the prices are astronomical.  I still like it, but those weak/poorly designed scissors springs and the crazy 3rd party prices are just intolerable.

Is there a likelyhood that Leatherman would fix it, or even has parts to do so, given it is the only model with scissors so small and is not no longer manufactured?
