Title: Could the SOG reactor be transformed in NON assisted knife? Only liner lock?
Post by: alexTOOL on March 08, 2017, 04:39:21 PM
Hello!, That is the question

Could the SOG reactor be transformed in NON assisted knife? Only liner lock?

In my country spring and assisted knives are banned

Is it possible???

Thanks!

I would say it is highly likely. Open, remove spring, close, enjoy. I've done the same to a SOG folder and it worked fine without the spring.

I also haven't tried but I would agree with El Zoido.

I don't know how SOG's SAT works but if it's like Kershaw Speedsafe there is no detent to keep the blade in the closed position. The spring operates as a retention system to keep the blade in the closed position. Removing said spring would probably result in the blade coming out of the tool like a gravity knife
