Just wondering if anyone has found any interesting uses for this notch other than a wire stripper, I have used it as a wire bender for paper clips, and repaired a bent up pair of sunglasses with it.

Generally I forgot that there is that notch, so I think I have never used it 😫.

There is this ( yet another :) ) cool vid from Nikos with uses for notch.

I used mine to bend the ignitor on an old Coleman stove last Summer.

: One of those tools that's an after thought until you need it.

I use it very often to... strip wire :D

Lately, I've been having to fabricate hooks and small pins from paper clips, and all I bought last time was the colorful rubber coated ones. So, it had to come off. I used an older Ranger's cap lifter, which has the ground edge. I did use the notch yesterday to remove a staple, by straightening one of the bent over legs so it could be pulled out.
I'd say it could remove very small nails (i.e. model railroad track nails, cigar boxes) without issue.

Although I haven’t had time to watch all of his videos, they are on the to-do list , the ones I have perused have been informative. His video of uses for the parcel hook :

I used mine while the opener was on it's half stop to hang them on a nail to store the SAK.
Works only with <2 layers though...
Or you need longer nails.
