I was abusing people's patience with some awl puns in the relevant thread :-[ and at some point it would let me quote severa(w)l posts but not leave a new post, message saying I left the message body empty while that wasn't the case.
I noticed others said something similar in Monrogue's 'Hey all' thread so I thought I'd report a possible bug.

Yeah that's the recently discussed undocumented feature. We voted and I lost. There will be a limit on quotes that can be posted.

Tapatalk isn't limited though, that's one way around it.

So, if someone quotes more than 8 quotes, in Tapatalk, will we still be able to see them in Explorer?

A falling tree makes more noise than a growing forest...
You people would be willing to start using Tapatalk (I'd forgotten about that way to circumvent the limitation, I can be slow with change!) again just to make massive quote roller coasters?!
And who uses Explorer these days?

There was a security patch on the forum, while the changelog says nothing about this and I cannot find anything about it anywhere indeed it seems there's a limit of 7 nested quotes without using tapatalk. I have started a support topic over there to see if anyone else has any thoughts/experience.

so this is apparently a known bug in the forum software added with the latest patch.
I have implemented a temporary fix.
