Title: Leatherman MUT - Fire Starter Mod (New Version)
Post by: Nonegogh on January 05, 2018, 01:55:12 PM
Hi friends,

Today, I will share with you the mod I made. (new version)
I have done this before, today I am presenting a better case.

This one is a fire starter. This mode is portative. I can change the magnesium rod whenever I want. I just have to create some screw mount for the magnesium rod, that is really easy to create something like that. Also I can use the rod on my Leatherman, I don't need to take out. It's strong.

The old one is here: https://forum.multitool.org/index.php?topic=73814.0

Good day.

@Ponch, I can see tell-tale signs of a turning bit so I'm guessing a lathe.

Hi,

Firstly, I cut the brass metal 0.6 centimeters in diameter and 2.5 centimeters in length then I punched a hole in the center of it 0.3 centimeters in diameter. Finally, I created some screw mount for the magnesium rod and that brass part. That's it. :)

Thank you.
