It's not too difficult a task for me, although sometimes I realize my pen is at another station, therefore having to resort to the lovely lines of a disposable Bic.One of the tricky things will be not losing my pen. :ahhh :-\
Best of luck man! I think this is a cool idea! I have been carrying the same fountain pen for the last 2 years. That and a carpenter's pencil. Best of luck man and I hope you get a badge out of it.Thank you! :)
Almost forgot about this challenge   Good going so far buddy :like: :like:Thank you! :hatsoff:
A fountain pen? Oh hell the smurf yeah! Fountain pens rock! You sound enthusiastic about fountain pens. :D
Day 6 allready?! Nice! If youre into pens check out the saddleback leather pens.. i thought they were really neat. I'm sure the fountian pen will write like a dream! I own a cheap one, never got the ink to fill it with. Never owned a nice one and I cant remember ever really writing with one :think:Thank you!
Day 7 ongoing, pic later! The finer the better for me. Pilot makes some nice ones. I tend to roll with Parkers.A fountain pen? Oh hell the smurf yeah! Fountain pens rock! You sound enthusiastic about fountain pens. :D
What nib sizes do you prefer and why?
The pilot metropolitan comes in medium and fine, which I hear are actually closer to fine and extra fine.Day 6 allready?! Nice! I checked out the saddleback leather pen, its cool looking.
But I picked a Fisher pen because of the space ink refills, which those pens don't have.
Nice pics!I do. Best thing from keeping them from drying out it to use it. Even just a quick note or signing a receipt. That seems to work for me.
My favourite fountain pens are Pilot fine nibs, pilot v-pen disposable fountain pens and Platinum Preppy fine nibs.
I also carry a Fischer Bullet in my pocket :)
Do anyone here edc a fountain pen? How do you keep them from drying out?

More great pics and this is a pretty cool challenge Pablo :tu: :like: :like:
Just picked up on your Challenge Pablo - good luck looks like it's going well. I really like the Bullet Space Pen and prefer them with a clip as they're slippery suckers that find their way through pocket linings at the slightest opportunity ! :like:Thank you! Indeed, its hard to imagine a slicker shape than a clipless bullet, besides a ball bearing.
Congrats on the being made official and all :D
Whoey made the badges and I think he did a very good job on them if I do say so myself :tu: :like: :like:
Now continue on with the thread :dd: :D
+1 again. :hatsoff: :cheers:Congrats on the being made official and all :D

Interesting photo, where was it taken? :like:
Thanks! Yours is good too! :cheers:Not very good. Ink tends to shed of it. But I use my carpenter's pencil on it when working on something and taking measurements and part numbers. I use my pen for everything else.
How do fountain pens do on notebooks like that?
I see. :cheers:SnipNot very good. Ink tends to shed of it. But I use my carpenter's pencil on it when working on something and taking measurements and part numbers. I use my pen for everything else.

Careful now ! You might the blunt teeth of the saw there ... :cheers:Hmm you are right. In the future I will use a metal file. >:D

At least black and brass don't look ugly together. :tu:
Hehe, I somehow doubt that. There is not quite enough scratching yet. :DAt least black and brass don't look ugly together. :tu:
Too true. And now you can find your pen in the dark. So much more difficult with a completely black pen ! :pok:
Just to help the thread and your cause.Much appreciated! :salute:

At least, if the pen goes in the drink you can write a note to yourself not to do it again while it's still below the surface/underwater/undercoffee/undertea/whatever

I call it the pixel effect. Film photos not present.

The objects in the photo look rough around the edges and I'm not sure why.

However, when I enlarge your image on my phone's screen, the effect seems to provide a added depth to the black objects and not the SAK. Many great photos are result of luck, yours due to skill;)

OCD badge.
Thats probably the badge I was thinking of. :DOCD badge.
+1 Seems legit enough.
Great pic today and can't believe just 1 more week to go :ahhhI could do that, but the subtle difference in the shades of black would probably bug me more. :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh
Also after the week is up take a Sharpie and color the marks in and they will be way less noticeable :D at least that would help me from going to crazy about it myself :dwts: :D

Anyway, day 24! (Cue 24 ticking clock  )
Found meself little cheapo locking pliers at the car boot sale. I'll EDC them and see if I likey. :)

And after reading about the anti-bacterial properties of copper and copper alloys(like brass!) I really want a copper or brass pen, light, SAK, etc.
I like the look of the raw brass fisher bullet, but what I'd like is a brass fountain pen, or full size ballpoint at the very least. Anyone EDC one? :D
Great pics there Pablo. I think the Victorians were onto something with brass door handles etc. I really like the look you can get with brass, bronze etc but I don't think I've seen a full size pen. I did have a brass bullet with spiralling all the way up cap and body which I gave away but I do miss it as it was a good writer.
Nice pics! Got a pic for you that you might like.
That's a really pleasant picture of the bullet in the crook of that tree. Unusual I grant you but hey, if it works it works :like:Thanks for the comparison and complement!
I didn't greatly notice the grooves around the main body or cap of the brass pen. Faintly felt them yes but not unpleasantly so. I believe it was lacquered though. I do however find the grooves around the grip area on my titanium nitride pens are much more pronounced than on my regular bullet (and in complete contrast to the grey titanium slippery suckers!).
Day 29, sooo near indeed! :drink:
There is now a band of exposed brass on the pen. I think I'm done scraping the finish. Hopefully. :ahhh Except for a bit of tidying up.
If the sun comes out I'll take a better pic!

Nice one Pablo that brass band effect does look good *. As does your stone pen holder (I really like that - I've got a thing for holes with stones round them) ... but dammit you keep mentioning brass and that keeps tempting me to look for one myself :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh
*there's got to be a joke in this - leave it with me
Black & brass look good. :like:Cheers!
1 day more and this has been a very interesting challenge indeed :tu: :like: :like:Thank you! :hatsoff:
Who knows I may go for this challenge in a month or so  :like:
I really like the brass around it. This has been a great thread to follow. :tu:
Thank you for the badge! 8) :D :woohoo:
The Bullet, with your choice of ink, is a good pen. :salute:
I'm looking forward to trying others though. :D
Congratulations, being the 1st you set the bar very high.Hmm, speaking of the bar, the challenge rules in the OP are not quite correct. I'll have to repost them.
Great job!
