I have a Swisschamp (I believe), from what I can gather on this site it is a mid 80s SOS kit. Could anyone assist in confirming?

Hi Dan,
Take an old trader's advice.  If you go look at it, take along something to trade.  He just might take a radio, or a Zippo in on trade.  Offer a nice radio and $10, or a nice black Zippo and $20.  You might be surprised.  Best wishes.  G

Day 3 and 4:

So sorry. I normal post updates at night, and I totally fell asleep last night!!! I used the scissors yesterday, to open up a bag of grit I’m using to tumble some stones my daughter found on a recent trip to the mountains.

I’ve been busy planting trees in my local park today. I haven’t needed a knife much, but I did make prodigious use of the cap lifter. .

You may notice the Explorer change for me. I’m giving the yellow Explorer a rest this weekend, and using an older model with nice new green plus scales.

And don't put two male ends on it. In the event of a power outage, that can seriously injure or kill the folks who are working hard to restore your power.

Another great day, y'awl!

I fully agree.  I worked for a power company for many years, in generation.
