Title: Metal Toothpick?
Post by: 35Studio on March 13, 2013, 06:55:58 PM
Hi,

Is there anyone who makes a Stainles Steel or Titanium tootpick replacement for the Victorinox models?

I'm not unhappy with the standard one, but just curious if there are alternatives out there.

My google-fu has failed me on this one.

Thanks,

Silver would IMHO be nicer and more classic for a toothpick, but I haven't seen replacements fitting a SAK. Coming to think of it, silver and titanium are pretty much the only metals I have seen used in metal toothpicks actually for sale in normal shops, either brick and mortar or webshops. Not that weird, thinking about it.

Making one in Ti would be doable I think.  I have some slivers about the right size that I have from scrap when cutting out Ti scales.

For premade ready to buy ones though Ive never seen any SAK size.

I thought the answer might have been to look for a foreign language post. This too failed.

If you do end up making some, let me know.  I'll be your first customer.

There are some metal ended tweezers out there. I think they were on very old models.

You can see the metal tipped tweezer ages on this site I found on another thread here. If you are wondering why number 4 is short, it is for the electronic scales
