I recently highlighted my project to mod an otherwise garden-variety Cadet by adding scissors from an 84 mm Golfer to it. I started out calling it a Cadet X because of the Pioneer X naming convention. But it occurred to me that when Victorinox added scissors to a Tinker, they named that knife a Super Tinker, and not Tinker X. So I think Super Cadet might also fit in this case. What do you think?
If you don't visit the Mod Squad sub-forum all that often and would like to see the pictures of my project, you can do so here: https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,78662.0.html
And here is a picture of the finished SAK:

I voted Super Cadet, only because it has a nice ring to it. And it could wear a cape... :2tu:
Nice Mod by the way!
Nice job on the peening!

I voted Cadet X :salute:

Whatever you name it, I want one!

I voted Cadet X. However, if Vic builds them I could careless what they call them :gimme:
-
Lovely mod :like:
Voted Cadet X because of having the same tools etc as the Pioneer X :salute:

I voted Super Cadet for your great mod.
I would guess/like Vic to call it a Cadet X. As previously expressed in this thread, I just want Vic to build them, and they can call them whatever they want.

I'm with Smiller on this! While I already voted Cadet X, I was thinking of a general name for it if Vic produced it in mass. For your awesome mod, Super Cadet seems quite fitting.

It's alox, so I'm saying Cadet X
To be 'super' it would surely have to be a celidor + scissors? Super sportsman?
-
This is great you guys! So fun to hear of everyone's reasoning for their name preference. :)
I wish the blasted 84 mm scissors weren't so dang hard to come by. I'd like to have one of these Super Cadet X's in every color!

C’mon guys,
THE SUPER CADET
:pok: :pok: :D

So it is a cross between a Voyageur and an Alumnus. Built out of a Cadet.
That brings to mind a completely different logic. The Alumnus has ended their schooling and is no longer truly a Cadet, but they may still have to undergo a trial or journey to test their mettle before they are truely an adult. A quest as it were.
The Argonaut? Or Ulysses?

Definitely the Cadet X :D

Cadet X :) it seems the name of an evil superhero. Super Cadet seems more a good one.

:iagree:
Alox gets the X designation, Celidor the Super designation. That’s based on Vic practices though.
Call it what you like best! :tu:

Learned something new
Tbh when I put sportsman I knew I wasn't right but it was the first 84mm with a nail file I could think of to demonstrate my point
... So, super alumnus or Cadet X depending on if its alox or celidor... So what if it had wooden scales ;)
-
A Spartan with wooden scales is still a Spartan :pok:

Yes but a very nice Spartan :dd: :like:
-
... and an Alumnus doesn't correlate with the Cadet with scissors, as only one of them has back tools.
Oh, and a Super Alumnus would have two pairs of scissors
-
Hahaha
Is this where anoraks come to get their anoraks?
