Two very great men who really did have a hand in shaping this place. And I mean that- it's not the usual platitude given to departed friends, John was nice enough to invite Bob, Joe and I into his sanctuary in Maine for a weekend, had his own usergroup created just so he could have a purple name on the forum and is the only person I know to have acted out his (and mine!) favorite smiley.

It was amazing how closely he actually resembled that one!
Travis was, well, he was behind much of this site, from designing the logo to trying to make sense of a lot of the ideas I've had for this place, and SOSAK prior to the creation of MTO. I wasn't sure how we could go on without him around here, and even now the void he's left is still causing problems- he may not have had a high post count, but he was the backbone of this site.
So, to each of them I say thank you for everything, and we will not forget you. to their families I say Thanks for letting us share in the wisdom that was Travis and the wonder that was John.
To the rest of you I say thanks for continuing their influence and keeping Multitool.org as vibrant as it ever was. As long as we are here, John and Travis will live on.

Wow, that is pretty heavy. I appreciate that, for sure. I would very much like to argue with you though. Well, actually no. Even if he hadn't deleted his post, he would have also won as then his post would have been number 1004356 with the forum offset of 4356.

Definately not printed on, it is engraved through the coating. I can't tell you if it is engraved by hand or by a machine but is a very nice and clean work. I can try to take some macro pictures tomorrow.
