I'd be interested. I have a newlyfound SC (from a good soul in Finland  :pok:) that needs to be put to the test !
I'm not too good at the "take a picture everyday" part of the challenge; I don't really do pictures and often forget to take one everyday. I'll do my best if this takes off the ground.  :D

Truly, the paratool is the most underrated and misunderstood tool. I brought out the planes, ground everything in and it became so pleasant to use that it replaced all other tools, always at hand.

Great idea David and thanks to Kansept, that sure is a beautiful timascus !
My favorite EDC item is a Leatherman PST2. What else ?
It's not Timascus, they do make one though. This is anodized to look like lightning.

Is that mint? Or is it a weed? :ahhh

It's scarlet sage, growing from wildflower seeds. In some circumstances it would be considered a weed, but in my garden it's quite welcome. Hummingbirds love it.

Swiss Army Knights Forum / Re: Pioneer x defect or design?
« Last post by Tuisto on Today at 06:36:12 PM »
I don't mean to disparage Victorinox; I love them. But every single awl (with one exception) I've had on a 93mm has had some minor issue or another. two Electricians from around 2012, Farmer X from this year, two pioneers (one of which is the 2010 Damascus), one of which was from 2010ish. The only one that I have that doesn't have issues is the Swiss Army 7. I've had to find various ways to fix them like filing some of the metal down on the scales, using a rubber mallet to bend things one way or another, etc. But yeah, I don't know what it is with the awls on the 93mm models but I've always had (relatively minor) issues with them.
