Bob did Leatherman make a SS CC ST 200? The reason I ask as I`ve never seen one. I`ve only seen two BO CC ST200 both are in the pics we`ve posted.

I have the whole family,ST,ST200,Core,& ST300,just wish I had the Pulse to go with the 200. :salute:
I'm in!
I just received NIB ST 200...
I have a ST-300 and a Original ST which I will call a ST-100 for the sake of this argument. So if I subtract my ST-100 form my ST-300 I have a ST-200. So can I join the ST-200 club.

No way! :twak:
But I'm a nice guy, so I'll help you out. Send me the ST and ST300, and I'll send you a ST200. Then you can join the club. :pok:
yes, the rocker locks, somehow they bring to mind riding a 21 speed penny farthing bike in lowest gear. But that's a good thing right..? :o ::) :)

A couple of weeks ago I picked up an unused ST200 without a sheath at a flea market for $20. Two or three booths away, I found the correct leather sheath (unused)for $5.00.Did you run out and buy a lottery ticket..? ;) :D
What are the chances of that happening again?
:tu: Nice ST200. How do you like the lock release. Are they stiff?
Thank you :salute: seems I need a BO CC now .
I just received my SS CC ST200 and she is a beauty. It looks to be very lightly used and super clean. Here it is with some friends.I would love to get my hands on one like that some day.. :dd:

Congrats with such a fine tool..
Glad you found your lost ST200 Terry.
Any idea how it ended up in your brother's car? Anyway, "all's well that ends well" as they say. :tu:
Any idea how it ended up in your brother's car? Anyway, "all's well that ends well" as they say. :tu:
I accidentally left it in his truck after a canoe trip we did in May. He saw it in there, thought it was his, and transferred it to his daily driver where I found it two weeks ago and took it back.
Funny... I bet there's not a single person on this site who would mistake someone else's multi for theirs. Especially in a case like this one, since my brother has never owned an ST200 or a Ripoffs pouch. He actually said to me, "Yeah, I have so many of those things I guess I thought it was one of mine."
Needless to say, though he and I have some things in common, he does not share in my enthusiasm for (or use of) tools. I've had that tool for about 5 years, and I can tell you exactly what MTO member I bought it from, and what I paid for it. Likewise, I can tell you what used tool I bought with the Ripoffs pouch, what MTO member I bought it from, and what I paid for it. I'll bet if you threw that ST200 in a pile of 10 naked ST200s, I could sort through the pile pretty quickly and tell you which one is mine.
I did receive my first ST 200 the day before yesterday.
It has gone through the first cleaning. Is tool clumping common? And the tools are really hard to get out atm. I think a disassembly and torough cleaning is in order - Will any parts explode in my face when I pull the pivots or will the locking mechanism stay in place?
The ST200 is an awesome tool. I'm impressed. But the locks are really stiff any way of making them a little easier to unlock.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I do feel that there is a right way and a wrong way to try and use the locks, or at least a way that I feel makes it much easier anyway.
When you want to put a tool away;
don't open the handles yet, keep them closed so as to fill you hand. Trying to hold onto only one handle is just too fiddly IMO.
Lay the pad of your thumb on top of the lock and 'roll' it backwards. Don't dig the tip of your thumb in and try and 'pull' it.
Close the tool (blade, screwdriver or whatever) to about 45° until it touched the opposite handle, it won't pop back so you don't have to hold it there.
Only then do you open the handles and fold the tool away. Close the handles and you are done.
Of course that might be how everyone is already doing it, and it might sound long winded, but it's the way I've done it for years and I find it the quickest and easiest way of going about it. YMMV
I still need the ST200 BO CC

I'll swap my ST200 BO CC for your ST200 SS CC, just say the word .... :pok: ;)
Geez, all your collections are growing. Well done sir. :tu:
I regret getting rid of my original super tool, but maybe i will get another someday. I have a ST300 but have never owned the 200.

Quite the generous offer ;), I have been keeping my eye out for a SS CC for you sir but they dont come up that often. When I see one I'll send you the link or make a play for it and we can negotiate something. It's all a matter of time for one to pop up.

No worries. Just put me on the list as next in line. :pok: ;)Done. :tu: Are you also interested in a regular production (not-FPR) Mr Pinchy v1, or will only an FPR do ? They seem to be identical except for the FPR wording (shiny, with the same useless scissors and enormous lanyard ring :pok: )
P.S. He's not from Hawaii. :whistle:Oops :-[
There sure is a lot of Gerber talk in this ST200 club...
@ Greg, I have 2 Shiny V1 Pinchys one is NOS still with tape on the tool. I'd love the one etched with 1st PR on the tool.

Picked up another BO for a song on E-bay. It has the exact same date codes as my other one 0204 0304, what are the chances of that. The dates are even in the same side of the tool as each other.

My #4 ST200 arrived today. It has only one date code on the serrsated blade side, 0105. It looks like Aberdrew13's one. It was a naughty one though, as the serrated blade bit me :twak: It snapped a good 1/4" into my right middle finger, blood dripped everywhere... Naughty, naughty doggy :twak:

Oh, ST200 how I love thee. How dare I think a mere Supertool might take your place.
Agreed! I still prefer the convenience of the locks on the ST200. For me that trumps the slimmer profile of the ST, since I always carry it in a belt pouch anyway.
The comfort of the ST200 is better, but it's not that much of a difference to really matter, and I tend to wear gloves when the ST200 is on duty.

I just used my ST200 last night while working on my tractor. I will be sorely missing it on the weekends since I'm participating in the Rebar challenge. We'll see how it compares.
Nice pic, BTW.
I just re-acquired a 200 this week. Friend at work was wanting to try a rebar, so I was happy to accommodate. He must have got it from a city employee or something. One point to the pliers was broken off, so I had to do a slight BN job.

The 200 is a great MT! I have one that is unused and one that I have beat the hell out of that needs service, but I fear LM will send me a 300 instead. 300 is very nice, but not has good in the hand as the 200. Maybe they'll fix it. Who knows. I sent my wave off for a blade and got the same handles back with a new plain blade, new serrated blade, new file, new scissors and a new pliar head. :multi:

Got the ST200 after many years of THE PULSE. The only thing the supertool 200 cant do is make coffee and have SCISSORS. As long as McDonalds has the 1 dollar coffee the only question I have is "HAS ANYONE EVER PUT SCISSORS ON THIS MASTERPIECE ? If I could get scissors on this it would be the total BOMB ! Was thinking of moving the tiny flat screw driver to the can opener spot, remove the can opener then put the pulse phillips which is shorter in middle then put the pulse scissor in the old tiny screw driver spot. Any thoughts or ideas. If you have the parse wrenches to try that, then it can't hurt to try it!

They haven't since then :oops:Incredible.
I was a newer member here and others were talking about it :woohoo:
I took a chance and the store I went to had KF4s, ST200s and PSTs :ahhh I didn't get a PST and still kick myself over that
I’m curious about when the ST200 switched over to TOOL cast into the plier head rather than USA. With PST the rough date is 0601.
As a result of a CA lawsuit around the same time, LTG had to stop using USA on their tools until a certain threshold of parts could be made in USA.
There are even tools where USA was ground out of the plier head, which is one I have and why I’m curious about the dates on your tools.
Copied over from Original ST Owners Club from McStitchy and Ponch65
BO CC ST200 1001/ 1101 USA
BO ST200 0102/ 0102 USA
BO ST200 0304/ 1003 USA GROUND OUT
BO ST200 0204/ 0304 TOOL
SS ST200 0403/ 0803 TOOL
According to my spreadsheet earliest/latest handle dates for my ST200's are:
earliest "USA" Pliers ST200 is "0901/1001"
latest "USA" pliers ST200CC is "1201/0102"
earliest "Tool" pliers ST200 is "1102/0203"
earliest "Tool" pliers ST200CC is "0703/1003"
Of course these are the dates the handles were made, not the date the pliers were fitted to handles, and knowing the way LM assembled tools from bins of parts it is hard to pin down a definitive changeover date (not to mention later warranty repairs that can really muddy the dating waters).
I also have a pre-production ST200 that has no date codes on the handles, with laser etched markings on handle (not stamped). I believe this was made for a Shot Show.
Great info there Legend. :hatsoff:
Here is the full write up I did on the tool I was referencing.
...
Here are some pics that Greg sent me of his pre production ST200 with etched logo

Upon his return Ray decided not to pick up the order of 5000 units since the black oxide had shown signs of wear greater than the government standard at the time. They continued to work together until Stuart retired in 2011.”Ok legend the suspense is killing me, where did the 5000 units go?
