Title: Source for 58mm Manager / Signature Scales
Post by: jag-engr on November 07, 2017, 12:03:33 AM
Does anyone know of a good source for the 58mm scales with a tweezer slot on one side and the sliding ballpoint pen on the other side?

I recently lost my trusty Manager, so I did the logical thing and picked up a lot of 10 gently-used Managers from eBay (for $32).  :climber:

They are all in good shape clean.  Unfortunately, they have ugly, beat up scales.  Personally, I just use one with beat-up classic opaque red scales. However, I would like to replace some of the scales.  I think my wife would very much prefer some amethyst ones.

The only option I see so far is to buy a new Signature in the desired color and loot the scales.  Part of me is conflicted about paying $20 for scales on a $3.20 knife...

Lots of "cheap" options in euroland, but you seem to on the other side of the pond.

I'd be happy to be a middleman, but the shipping cost would make even ebay cheaper  :twak:

Question, rather off topic (), how come some stores in Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, etc sell 91mm scales for like €3 a pair? How can they be so cheap when everywhere else, they cost between €10 and €20?  ??? :o

And it's a pity that they don't ship outside the euro-german area.
