Taylor made = nothing compared to the older USA made models. When Taylor LLC took over the Schrade name, they degraded the quality of the Schrade Tough tool to something almost laughable. I recall one member buying one with bent inside tools because they did not fit inside the handle properly. Has Taylor LLC improved their quality since? After looking at all of mine, I doubt it.

Reminds me of some of the creations with wave and rebar handles except they made the front side of both handles look like the wave on one end and bond on the other.

Leatherman Tools / Leatherman Curl clip side

I found a picture of the backside of the Curl in a laser etching website and it is identical to the back side of the Bond where the clip connects. It has the big round pivot screws on the pliers end. They will probably have to take it down like the other sites who leaked early.

Rocco, what leather strop did you get?

I'm new to sharpening so would love to get a recommendation. I already have the Vic Dual Knife Sharpener, if that's the one you have.

I purchased the BeaverCraft Leather Paddle Strop 9 x 3 IN with Polishing Compound from Amazon. And the dual vic knife sharpener. Highly recommended. Yesterday I received 5 used translucent classics. took scales off, super cleaned them, polished them, and made them all sharpened enough to shave hair off my arm.

Funny you should say that.  The tracking on a package I ordered around Christmas showed it leaving Miami, going to Jordan before coming here.  It apparently decided to take the scenic route instead of just coming up the coast!

l have a pair of the Vics. Note the different plier heads. These date 1999, and 1998.

I would love to add one of those yellow Schrade to my collection one day. I fear the Schrads, if produced by Taylor LLC, are probably junk overall.

If you mean by yellow Schrade the one I have, they're not completely junk. They are quite usable, I've seen some pretty beaten up ones. I certainly wouldn't say they are on the level with the Swisstool though. I don't have a Swisstool but I do have a Spirit X and it's much nicer than the Schrade.
I bought myself a Charge TTi to use instead, also much nicer.

The Spyderco Sharpmaker is a good, simple to use product and gives great results on SAKs. I've done blades, scissors and awls, even can openers.

All packed up and ready to go.  It just hasn't taken itself to the Post Office yet!

To make it more fun, you should of included an Apple AirTag to record its journey and the other one(s) being sent to use the same AirTag, and see where stuff goes. Seen a video of a guy sending an AirTag to Korea, SpaceX, and Apple's CEO. Was an interesting watch as DHL lost the package but the guy could see where it was at. Maybe an employee with an iPhone found it?
