Tools Needed / Re: The difference maker

Is this meant to be a link to something ?  I'm guessing it might be some kind of SPAM but it's hard to tell for sure.
Edged Tools / Re: Combo Edge Challenge 2/22-3/2/22
« Last post by ReamerPunch on Today at 09:29:13 AM »
Well, this is shaping up to be a nice niche challenge

Does this mean that we can get a badge then  :dunno: :pok: (not that I need one you understand )

I was hoping for a Combo Edge one rather than a tool specific one (like the Signal challenge) as that means using only one for the duration.

Anybody got any thoughts/ideas

How about a minimalist design?
A subtle combo edge.
Edged Tools / OHO Mercator K55K

With Opinel I became very swift in opening and closing it one handed and with safety.
At the time being I carry the Mercator.
That's the way I open and close it.
Slower and less safe.
Do you know any other, better, way?

Feedback / Re: (just don't)

Only just noticed this. My sympathies Surge. I had almost exactly the same experience with this bunch trying to buy a retirement gift for one of my team. This was last summer. Knife arrived fast enough but without the personalisation which I’d paid extra for. No response to any number of queries. I had to claim the money back on the credit card.

This is the 2nd time they let me down. Never again.
He does?
I thought he was just swearing for the whole of it, like a kid who just discovered the F-word.....
Well, there is that.

About a decade ago Victorinox said they would be making no more coloured alox models...  So, what they say is not always what they end up doing.

True. And they were also talking about a box cutter tool that would be released in 2021 I think.
Hand Tools / Re: Knipex Owners Club

Having quite a few knipex tools, I think I use the Cobra 180 the most
I rarely do "big jobs" that really need the 250, and the 150 has the same jaw thickness as the 180 so it cannot do "smaller things"

Being no mechanic I rarely use the pliers-wrench as an actual wrench... But a lot as parallel press/pliers

But when I need to cut nails or even screws, 61 01 200 is the best tool available : much faster than with a metal saw, and it's the only pincers-like cutters that can actually cut bolts and screws.
Wife and I had our booster this morning.

I’m now astra-astra-moderna. Wife is pfizer-pfizer-moderna.

We had breakthrough infection mid January though, so there’s this feeling that the booster came late lol. Then again, my suspicion is that we caught Omicron which could even break through a 3rd dose.
