I'm on the trouble shooting team, and the big boss we most have to co ordinate with totally illogically, given that we are a UK only based operation, is in Dallas.
It makes perfect sense for you. The higher-ups are the ones who applied total nonsense to the whole thing by having just that one employee (that I'm aware of) located outside the UK.

As for why I'd observe Central Time? Both of the states I'm considering moving to are almost entirely in that time zone.

From the time I was 6 years old until I was 22, I lived in a state that did not observe DST, so we never had to change our clocks.

Then for the next 20+ years, I lived in states that do observe DST, spending some time in states that were on Central time and some in states that were on Eastern time.

So what have I observed?

1.  DST is worse than pointless.  I don’t even care whether we go with DST or standard time, but let’s pick one or the other and then never change our clocks again.

2.  I liked being on Central time a bit better than Eastern, mainly because live events started and ended earlier then.  For example, evening NFL games typically run from about 8:15 PM to 11:15 PM Eastern.  If I stay up to watch the end, it’s a little tougher to get up for work the next morning.  But on Central time, it’s 7:15 PM to 10:15 PM, which is a bit nicer.  Otherwise, makes no difference.

:iagree: And the only state I can think of that does not observe DST is Arizona.

Today, Arizona and Hawaii are the two states that don’t.  But back when I lived in Indiana, DST wasn’t observed there.

Hope for the best, but be prepared to get a replacement. ;)

Yeah Rodia, you weren't wrong there. The canvas strap is...OK. I'd considered a NATO strap, but at this stage can't be bothered with getting the converters. I got a two pack of stretchy straps of Amazon for 8 quid instead. Very pleased. The plastic links look a bit cheap, hell, they are, and it maybe takes away a little bit from the overall appearance, but it's now super comfortable to wear

Yeah, I haven't seen straps on a cheap Casio yet that would be more than just OK. And the ones you have now, I've never seen those before. I'd probably go the resin route myself but if they're comfy for you, then  :tu:

Converters? I'd think only a spring bar tool and a NATO band in the correct width would be all you'd need.

And maybe I'm weird and/or in the minority, but I've never had any issues with Casio resin straps.

I'm very much of a mind to say that the Casio resin straps are the one bit of Casio watches I really can't get on with.

I'd seen some photos of Royales on a 18mm NATO and it looks a bit anemic  ( so does the NATO on my MRW-200H  if I look at it now). The converters basically have the 18mm log, but take a 22mm strap.

Of course, I have no affiliation to the seller.

They're made for G Shocks but seem to fit any 188mm lugged Casio

Of all the watches I've had, Casio F-91w was probably my favorite. I've had one for over 12 years and I can't wear it anymore due to the spring bars hollowing out the grab points on the watch from swapping straps so much. Now it resides as an alarm clock on my night stand.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

I had a FW91 copy.  Everything you need and nothing you don't.  Feather light to wear.  W-Mart still sells the original.  I saw a green one at W-Mart for $21.  Cheaper than buying a genuine CASIO resin band.
First digital I ever saw wasn't a CASIO.  It was a Texas Instruments.  Anybody remember those?  Best wishes.  Gary
