A SPORTSMAN in Yellow is my latest SAK!

This is a little different, (maybe?), the scales are different.
The VICTORINOX SHIELD is in the back side scale, or cork screw side.

The ADVERTISEMENT Side is on the opening layer side.

Appears SWISS, FRENCH and ITALIAN for postal package services. The three alp locations ?

Has this been seen before?

The printing seems to be associated to Postal service. Have not researched as to what language or country?

I have been a fan of the 84mm SPORTSMAN ever since SOS24 hosted the tween challenge and I found me one.

Then committed to this as my pocket buddy during the MacGyver challenge.

Thanks for any insight that be shared(TIA) 🧐

Switzerland of course :)
Three of the official languages spoken there.
You should seriously visit vicfan.com. All the hoopy froods are doing it.

Thank you Kev68

I have been smitten by the 84mm size, the SPORTSMAN, checks the most boxes for me.

The mystery of the labeling appears resolved, that this is a SWISS POSTAL issued/special.  I had forgotten that SWITZERLAND does have 3 official languages.

And, I just find the YELLOW scales mesmerizing.

This will be displayed for now next to the YELLOW SPARTAN in the wall display.

That is very nice!

The SPARTAN is a favorite of mine.  I just did a scale swap a few days ago, on a SPARTAN, RED to NAVY CAMO.

To be different…
The SPARTAN is the most popular model among my horde! 😉

Ps: I like your taste in lanyard selection too!

@LoopCutter: Congratulations on the beautiful yellow one. Things from the Swiss Post (formerly PTT) have cult status – at least by collectors in Switzerland.

Thank for sharing and the congratulations, Sneider.

I am very pleased, as I really like the SPORTSMAN model, and the YELLOW IS VERY NICE!

Now knowing this is actually a sponsored scale, even adds pleasure to my find.

And, you have a very nice assortment too!

I had the same problem, required some imagination to just glimpse the outline.

Never would ever found if the scales were the tartan type.

Sneider, is it the colour or the rarity of those items that makes them so valuable for collectors?

A SPORTSMAN in Yellow is my latest SAK!

Great stuff LoopCutter - I have also always really loved the yellow

And having a knife made for a Swiss organisation is even better

Just curious how it ended up in the US - Or did you buy it from a seller in Europe?   ???

Found on the eBay (USA), labeled as a TOURIST.

SELLER Shipped from South Carolina. I did ask about the back story, no reply.  A knife dealer possibly.
Was listed with ‘Buy it Now’ option and ‘Make an Offer’

First day listed I Made an offer. I was accepted.  Suspect there was no knowledge or sentiment al attachment.  Part of a collection or estate.   The seller may deal with swords and other sharp objects.

It's a Tinker Deluxe. I put the name in the photo's file name but I realise now that those aren't always immediately apparent or evident, haha.

I like those scales too!

When I saw the TIGER scales on a SPARTAN, I found they also had a TINKER available as well.

The DELUX TINKER is a limited number release. So more collectable. When gone, they are gone.
