On the way back home I received a $200 ticket... I could've bought the ARC alongside the SURGE with that money. 😭

Ouch!

Thanks a lot to everyone.

The SURGE looks like the best choice for a first multitool if you're going to deal with medium-heavy work.

I think I will skip the Raptor for now and stick to regular shears.

I fear I'm starting to fall into the rabbit hole. The mini SAK tools are looking hella good right now.

Are there any good mini ones you guys recommend? I'm currently carrying a small keychain   potato I got from AliExpress.

That's probably a topic that deserves its own thread, so I'll keep it brief. Going forth, I won't purchase a 58mm SAK that doesn't have the combo tool.

Understood.
I'll search for the right place to discuss this.

The Micra!  It’s my favorite and most used Leatherman.  If I could only have 1 multitool, it would be a Micra even over a full-sized tool.

Isn't the Micra with scissors instead of pliers?

I sent a PM that I hope will be helpful. If you have any further questions about SAKs, feel free to post them in the Swiss Army Knights forum. We're happy to help.

The Micra!

Especially in combination with the ST300, they complement each other.

Agreed!!!  I have one on a Light My Fire.  Either in my day pack or my lunchbox at any given time.

Those who read my posts may wonder if I ever actually have a LUNCH in my lunchbox.  Once in a while.  But tools and a flashlight?  Always.

My vote is the Rebar. They're pretty cheap on eBay, and mine has never let me down.

I have already purchased a brand new Leatherman Surge.

I'm very happy with it.
God willing, I'll be sharing photos of me using it soon.
