Have any of you used this for touching up an edge?  I have had one for years and love it.  It's just about worn out so looking for another one.  I recommend it.  You?

The one you linked to is ceramic not carbide so it's decent, but the problem with that type is you are stuck with that angle whether you like it or not.

i like the adjustable angle pocket sharpeners made by readyedge. they make one the same size and shape as a dog tag which i really like. been thinking about getting one for a while now.

That looks like a very similar design to the Victorinox branded sharpener that Poncho65 sent me. I've not used it yet, but it looks like a good thing.

This one has Carbide on one side, ceramic on the other.
I used to come here a lot.

It is a nice little sharpener.  See I am not good at sharpening knives.  I've used the lansky and gatco units and they work well getting that angle you want and a keen edge but they also take off a fair bit of metal off your knife doing it.  I am not all that picky about angle usually just touching it up and this unit does a pretty good job.  What that angle is I am not sure.

I measured the stock photo it's 40°, so should work with most knives. You gotta clean it after each use thou, those little rods gets loaded up with steel pretty fast.

For ceramics I use an old toothbrush and handsoap/toothpaste/baking soda, or just wipe them with a damp paper towel if you are not near a sink.
