Anyone have a good SOG contact?
on: March 25, 2009, 03:38:15 AM
I want to apply for a job at SOG, but I can't, for the LIFE of me, find a careers section on their website.  I was wondering if anyone here had contact info for someone at SOG so I can get in touch with someone you know and pass them my resume.  If you want, I can send you my resume first as well, so you can verify that I am a legitimate candidate.  I know I wouldnt want to put my name on the line by refering just any old schmoe without qualifications to someone I know!!  I would appreciate it greatly!! Thanks guys.

Try contacting Chris@SOG, who coincidentally is a member here.  While he may not be able to help you directly, I am certain he'd be able to put you in touch with the right person.

DOH!

Lol...i just checked his name though, and his email points directly to marketing@sog.com, which isn't who I'm looking for, and he hasn't logged in since may, 2008.  Oh well.

How about just calling them and ask for contact information?

Yes I know I could have done that, but things work out much better when you network. "Hey "insert SOG employee here", I was given your contact info by your friend "insert friends name here" and would like to speak with you regarding possible employment" typically works better then just calling up or sending a resume.

To quote the cliche term, many times its who you know, not what you know.
