I know there's a fair whack of blades employing the wave feature eg: Spyderco, Emerson to name a couple and I pretty much don't care for that style of deployment.  There are more times than not I am just trying to get the knife out of my pocket and it half opens because it gets snagged.  Kind of dangerous when you look down only to discover there's your blade half cocked and weren't aware of it.

i dont have problems with that, im very aware of how im deploying the knife...plus the ladybug is just a keychain knife, waved it was just a joke

oh yeah for sure it's a very effective way and what you set out to do you got accomplished.  I just mean that for me I have a couple of knives that have that feature and I have not gotten used to taking them out carefully I just give them a tug not paying much attention and voila there they are.

yeah i can see your point, thats why i didnt get a waved spyderco first, i wanted to try the regular deployment(super fast ) and the waved(without buting a waved knife) i like the idea behind the emerson opener but for now i dont see myself buying one

I loved my waved Delica...I've gotten used to deploying it either using the wave, or just having it come out closed in my hand
