I saw this as a kid and I always thought it would be cool to escape like that. I love the bad guy's response when the girl asks "Where'd that knife come from?" You gotta admit, it'd be pretty hard to miss a Swiss Champ!

Good lordy, if they overlooked a Swiss Champ in one pocket, he could have gotten away with a hand grenade in the other

Yeah, and to save anyone watching the clip time it starts at 2:30 I think. And yeah, I was surprised they missed the champ until the end of the clip where it comes out they missed the handgun too 

What astounds me is the kid starts to open the knife blade- seems like a ridiculous choice to me. He would either need something that would fit in the keyhole- tweezers, straight pin, etc. or the metal saw to hack one of the links (would be quite noisy ).
