Welcome to :MTO:  Cynan

Excellent pic :like: and a fine choice for a carry :woohoo: :like:

The Crunch and Micra are 2 of the longest produced tools by Leatherman that haven't really went through any kinds of major overhauls or redesigns, that is for sure a testament to their design :salute: :like: :like:

Thank you!

Kind of makes me want to get a Bond to have the classic look instead of a ST 300!

If you are wanting a user that has the classic look then I would still recommend the ST300 or perhaps a Rebar if you are wanting something a little lighter :salute: the Rebar is really just a ST300 in the 4 inch size

The Bond is fine but I prefer those 2 over it for sure :tu:

Or you can always track down an original Supertool on eBay for a good price :woohoo: :like:

To echo Poncho, I’d go Rebar or Supertool over Bond. Worth it for the locking blades and the saw, I think.

The Crunch is a great tool. Almost unique in a world where almost every other multitool is, to an extent, a variation on the basic design. Pairing it with a more traditional plier-based tool gives you a really versatile kit.

While you’re still fresh and impressionable, how about a Raptor to go with your Crunch and Rebar/Supertool?

Received my Crunch today and am very happy with it. Always loved locking pliers since I was a kid and to get one this cool just floats my boat  :D

Had one of the original Micras for a long time before it was lost (sad times). I replaced it with various other similar tools over the years but nothing really stuck and eventually bought a newer version of it.

Recently I've wanted to get something a big bigger for when I'm away and I was switching between a Wave+, Surge and ST 300.. the latter winning that race as I love the more vintage style looks and wanted something more heavy duty.

However since I have my replacement Micra I released that the only tool I'd really be gaining that I'd use in any serious capacity are the pillars and whenever you use pillars you can't beat locking ones so the choice was made. Still I might pick up a ST300 at some point to complete the set!  [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]

Don't overlook the hidden bit driver under the adjustment screw  :pok:

Thank you! Am truly in love. Love the shape. Love the locking mechanism. Soon to be complimented with an ST300!

Nice!

On Monday I've received my very first ST300. It is a solid piece of kit that. Classic tool setup with modernised pliers and tool locking. The file and saw seem to be the longest of any LM, if that is important to you.

But as Poncho mentioned, you may try one of the old originals as well  ;)  They are sleek and more compact. And super reliable.

Being in the UK it’s really hard to get hold of one it seems. eBay has nothing knife related. I’d love a PST but it seems a Bond is the closest I get get easily.

If you keep looking on here or join UK-based Leatherman groups on Facebook, it won’t take long to find a PST for a decent price.
I prefer the PST to the Bond. Both just as good to use, but the PST is more compact, just looks perfect.

Hello all.
Just checking in as I should be joining the gang shortly as have one inbound from the States. I've wanted a Crunch since first seeing one in use many moons ago at the side of the road getting a mates bike sorted.
Seems from afar to be the perfect combination of utility, compactness with that oldskool Leatherman innovation and build quality.
Thanks
eid

Thanks a mill Poncho.
MyBrother living in the States brought it over for me and I'm chuffed with it. I had bought a leather pouch for it yrs ago on the off chance I'd own one and its a tight squeeze with a bit kit but works.
Really solid tool, very innovative, impressed.
