Necro-reply here:

I use a steel wire "file card" to get all the gunk and (usually) minor rust from the fine serrations in the plier jaws. A few quick strokes and the serrations gleam like new.

I love thread necros for the same reasons!  It's great to see names and people I haven't in a long time.  I miss Spoony.  I hope all is well with him, wherever he is!

Yeah great to see some of the people that helped build this place into what it is today :salute: I am sure I was a lurker for a while but the friendly attitude of this place was what had me come out into the open and start posting :tu: That and the Benner and Micky D fights

It was an era, not a thread.  If you search out Benner and click Read All Posts I think you'll get an idea.

  • I'm an Adult?!?! When did that happen?
Sorry to bring this thread back on track (rerailing?) but here are some before and after pix of a very tired PST I got as a freebie in with a SwissTool a couple of years back. It had a broken blade and I used the half serrated blade from a PST II as a replacement so I now call this a PST 1.5

I have one I call a PST 1.5 but it is a bit different ;) Glad to see that you brought it back to use though :tu:
