You are right, the First Mates were discontinued long ago. But it seems Victorinox made a few later on, probably from some remaining sackingneedles and scales.
I guess they made only a few, because this model never showed up in any catalog (as far as I know), but nevertheless this model got his own number.

I must admit my Alox collection lacks anything Green. I have seen green alox so I guess that is on my list.

I'm loving the smooth red one with the saw and combo tool  :drool: .  Essentially a Lumberjack right?  Or did it have a different name?

Me too, I just hadn't ever heard of a alox lumberjack other than the Swissbianco run a couple of years ago.

It was specially made for Rose Acres business so maybe it was a special run?
