Lean, green swiss machine
on: April 24, 2009, 02:22:18 PM
Just tool delivery of my new Vic Soldier Knife - cheers to Tim at Felinevet for that!

Cracking tool - looks the business, feels solid and comfortable in the hand.  The scales give a good amount of grip.  Smooth action on all the tools, and the satisfying click as the liner lock comes into play.  A simple choice of tools - all bound together in one shiny package!  Shiny shiny shiny!

The only thing I don't like is that the saw and knife are a little snug and rub against one another as they open and close.  Could lead to some unsightly scratches.  Just a minor thing though.

Hope you enjoy the pics :D (excuse the flash on the saw, thats now gone)

Rich.

I don't really do the 111mm line but it is the new standard Swiss Army Knife so I do need to look at grabbing one :)

Thanks for all the pics  :tu:

Glad you all like the pics.  Anyone else got any experience with this knife?

Thank you!  I have the limited edition 08 soldier and keeping it as a shelf queen. My experience is with the OHT which is the same sak with only exceptions in scales, T&T, and blade stamp. The OHT has served me well on many trips outdoors

Those ARMEE ones are pretty hard to come by, as are a few others.

And hell yeah, I'm a showoff!  And, since that's not in dispute, let's not forget Wenger's version, the Ranger 178!  :D
