Monday's carry, laid out the night before.

USA Schrade ToughTool, USA Schrade+ Viper, and 2xAAA Maglite.

Nice carry set and ToughTool GLBM.  :like:

US or CN build? I read a lot of quality concerns with the newer CN made ToughTools.

US build thankfully, of which I have two(got to have a mint example for the collection..haha) ST1s and one ST5E. I do have the two Chinese(Taylor brands) versions(1x Satin SS and 1x Black crappy paint - Black version has "scissors", which do not work well at all).
There is a ToughTool challenge going on in the General Tool subforum for February. You might enjoy seeing some different ToughTools if you'd like to drop in.  :pok: :)

The difference in build quality, between the originals vs. the Taylor brands versions, are vast and numerous. With the China made Taylor version being inferior in every single fathomable way.

Carrying my 1st generation Tough Tool for the challenge, I find it disappointing that the quality was lost over the years with the company changing hands

Very nice, Gareth! :like:

And with ambidextrous usage of tools, it just needs some patience and practice.  :)

When I had the multiple surgeries on my right(previously dominant) arm, it was locked in position for a few months. Not being one to lay and wait, I commenced the arduous task of learning to do everything with my left arm/hand. Even though the surgeries ultimately failed, the experience left me with equally functional arms/hands.  :)

Like most left-handers I'm pretty ambidextrous and am happy to use the tools in my right hand, but 20 year habit of carrying them on the left isn't one I'm going to break any time soon.  :D
