I’ve been getting rid of stuff for 18 months and still have way too much. Having an old fashioned recording studio doesn’t help mind….and a few SAKs...
An old-fashioned recording studio? Must be a bear to move that! I'm actually doing a bang-up job of cutting down on the amount of stuff I'll have to move. When I leave Michigan, some of my stuff will be mailed. Continued good luck wishes!

Today with Charge TTi and PX...
Another great combo! :like:

Thanks Farmer X, the Gerber scissors were easy with the same size pivot hole and work well with only a couple ergonomic adjustments.

The watch was a pretty straight forward assembly project this time with no case grinding and polishing or custom parts designed and manufactured as in the past.

I ordered the different parts (case, crystal, bezel insert, hands, dial and Seiko automatic movement) from global sources and put it together myself. It was a hobby for a while but these days I put one together once in a blue moon.

Changing a battery would probably be the extent to which I could work on a watch. I imagine it takes a lot of precision tools and patience. Could be fun, though.

Some photos, especially of the green Cadet, would be most welcome!

Would like to see some details on the Skeletool scissors mod.

Sure thing.  :salute:  I had disassembled a Gerber Truss and Suspension a while back and had a small bag of candidate tools for this project. I chose scissors since that's what I miss most when just carrying a Skeletool, and the Truss scissors, though small, are quite effective.

I unscrewed the pivot screw so I could get out the part that normally holds the spare bit, so I could trim it to make space for the new tool (as seen in B.). The extra screw seen in (B.) is completely unnecessary - just another test that got left in. I then placed the scissors and a thin washer in its place and reinstalled the frame/scale and screw. The washer lows me to better adjust friction the the scissors so they are just right for OHO deployment.

I shaved off a bit of the scissors that touched the other handle (A.) so it wouldn't push them up when the Skeletool closed.
Edit: I also shaved the opening tab down a bit and rounded it so the tool slides in and out of pocket more easily without catching.

A couple things that made using Gerber tools so nice were that I didn't need to do anything with the pivot hole or reshape the stopper as it happens to be that it stops the tool in exactly the right position (C.).

Going pretty light again today. Everything I wear on me seems to get minimal during the summer. The 3D printed tool caddy is always on me, I just don't always take pictures of it.

I've now tested it long enough that I really should have it made in aluminum at some point. It is already showing some wear... I suppose nylon would be a cheaper option that would be relatively good as well.

Vic Tinker for me today. Like to keep it simple in summer time!

This Schrade is one of my favorites to carry around. Mostly because of the great scissors and knife though the rest of the tools are also useful. I don't know the tool's name though.
