LED Lenser Owners Club
on: August 08, 2011, 11:41:39 AM
Have had this LED Lenser M5 for about a month now and find it very useful & handy. Small enough to EDC every day without realizing it is even there. It is not waterproof like the Serac line was, yet is feels like the big sister to the Serac S2. The M5 a strobe feature too.

For a single AA it is plenty bright for being compact. Still carry my Serac S2 with my Leatherman for backup. I opted for this model due to the 4 to 7 hour dual settings, whereas the P5 is only 2 to 3.5 hours on the same single AA battery.

High: 100 lm @ 4 hr
Low:  20 lm @ 7 hr

Been using it working with computers, automotive maintenance, and when walking outside. Shines 50 yards easy although I prefer the low setting. It is quite powerful for a single AA!  :D

Okay, I'm in  ;).

I Have a Led Lenser P7 and 3 Led Lenser P3's (one for me and one for each of my boys) and I love them all.  I use the P3 mostly for indoor use (like checking on the kids at night) and the P7 is mostly used in outdoor situations, like hiking or camping in the woods  8).

I'm very pleased with all of them, they haven't led (= me trying to be funny ...  ::)) me down yet.

Got the L7 for a couple of months now, excellent all round.

ive been disappointed by their headlight offerings i tried one of the supposedly "infinitely variable output" ones in maplin and the lever to adjust it does nothing until the last 1/4 turn then its a really big jump in light levels

I have one I picked up a while back (a V2, I think) with one red LED and several white ones. Puts out good light, although having the buttons on the side and indistinguishable in the dark is a bit of a turnoff. Having a red LED to preserve night vision does me no good if I accidentally turn on the while LEDs and blind myself first.

I'm looking forward to getting a shiny new LM-branded one at some point, though.

For me, they have to be fairly water resistant or it's a no go.  :-\

I do like the clean lines of them though.

I've been looking at their website.  IPx4.  Lumapower and Olights  (in my case D-miniVX and M21  respectively) are both IPx7.

That's a big difference (misting vs immersing)

I have a grand total of one LED Lenser light, a Coast-branded cheap keychain dealie that I got for $3.50.  It's got great runtime though, competitive with a Fenix E01 with similar output.

I have the P14 (hate the "push twice to turn off" tailcap, love the flood).  I also have 2 Coast branded AAA "Mini TacLites."

The only LED LENSER light that I have is the V1 Moon Lenser from Lee Valley. It was a nice light but the fragile contacts broke off years ago and now the light is collecting dust in my home.  I'm still trying to figure out if it's possible to repair it myself.

I have two V2's; a dual color (red and white) and a Tac Torch single LED with a tail cap switch. Both are very bright and run off AAA batteries. I really like both of them and they're my "go to's" for traveling.

That P7 sheath looks very similar to a LM Wave/Charge sheath  Were they introduced after LM took over the company ?

I've had the L6 for about a week now and its proven itself to be very useful.  It has a nice bright light, fits in my hand well, has an intermittent button and the focusing beam makes it very versatile.

My dog and I take a walk every morning and evening and this time of year both of those walks take place in the dark.  The L6 has become my dog walking light.  In preparation for the cold weather I added a strap so that the light would stay in the palm of my hand when I am wearing gloves.  The light is there waiting for me to push the button for light as I need it, like the other night when I smelled a skunk and wanted to make sure it wasn't in our path.

The instructions for tying the strap come from TIAT  http://youtu.be/jJ1-WMFF0E8

Led Lenser iW2R.

I wanted a 90° light, found this in a store that was closing. Quite good. Side light, inline light, 180 lumen. A little long, so I keep it in my Maxpedition EDC.
