It came with a belt sheath. I also tried it clipped to my pocket and it works well.

Nice. I’m always worried I’ll drop my lights if I clip them to my pocket on the outside. Or lose them.

I had it inside my pocket. These jeans are a bit loose. I thought about grabbing some carpenter or painter pants for the long pocket along the leg just for extra carry space. I have been rotating lights lately so I am trying to make sure I am able to carry them comfortably.

The flashlight lies we tell ourselves and others:

1. I can quit anytime I want to
2. Just one more and I am done
3. I am not as bad as (enter other flashaholic's name here)
4. It hasn't changed me at all
5. I don't buy lights in the morning so it isn't REALLY an addiction
6. I only buy budget lights...I am not on the hard stuff
7. I only buy lights when I am stressed out and I need to unwind

Gareth,

Off topic. Where are you located? I used to live in St Cyrus just North of Montrose for several years.

I'm from Edinburgh originaly but am now in Forfar.  Very near St Cyrus indeed!  I know Montrose well enough but St Cyrus hardly at all I'm sorry to say.

St Cyrus is little more that a store and some homes. Ahhh Forfar...I remember it well. Spent most of my time in Montrose or Brechin.

Holy cow! No, I didn't know about that. Man, I missed an incredible opportunity to visit that cottage. Ugh...that is disappointing. Thank you for sharing that!

Aberlemno...that is as you are going toward Forar if I remember.

Three tools for a rainy and cold winter afternoon...
Fenix TK09 2016 (XP-L Hi) - Fenix CL09 - Armytek Wizard (XP-L)

Yes, my TK09 needs a new holster .. but they are too expensive, maybe better needle and thread :-D

Tested the new Armytek Viking XHP50 warm.
First on the beach dunes then in the dense forest.
In the beach I was initially disappointed, near the sea there is always an effect of refraction of light, the torches with wide beam are not ideal in that condition.
Much better in the woods, beautiful color tint and very wide and comfortable beam.
In the woods then I realized that the torch was delivered with Turbo2 = 840 lumens
I changed the settings and saw the full power (1680 lumens)  it is spectacular and does not overheat excessively.
With the Wizard and the Viking both on a Turbo level I felt the wildboars fidget and grunt in the undergrowth.

I also like a wide beam, but with a bit of ability to reach out. I know those are hard traits to find in one light, but my dedicated throwers have such narrow beams, they are not great for a lot of tasks.

Indeed, Viking can be criticized.
It is excessively wide beam.
I would have liked a few more meters of shooting but with Turbo 1 or Turbo 2 in a narrow forest it is spectacular.
Perhaps a smooth reflector would have been enough, or always orange peel but with less roughness.
On CPF I saw a good recent review of this light.

Ironically, the review on CPF states that the throw is 370 meters. That is why I like to hear real world reviews from people that use the light for specific tasks.
