nice EDC !

Today I swapped the tail cap butto from silver to black :
I don't need the "semi-transparent" ring of the silver one (that allows to use lighted switches... that are not compatible with my current driver)
and ... black is really cool along with orange !

while it was disassembled, I also coated all the o-rings with silicon grease to increase water resistance of the flashlight
that a very good looking Convoy there.

:like:  The short S2+ is an excellent light.  I hadn't seen it in orange though.   Mine in the warmest LED I own and I always surprises me when I go back to it even compared to my NW lights.

Found this old Thrunite Ti in the back of a drawer.  Two level light that you slightly tighten for low and keep tightening for high.

I've been carrying my Nitecore Tiki since I bought it a while back but decided to go old school today with my E01.

Same old light, a 8 year old JetBeam TCR1, that has defeated dozens of contenders for pocket space since 2012.

No 2021 post in this topic yet?  Shocking.

I'm back with my good old D25A Clicky right now.  Feels huge compared to the Nitecore Tiki I've been carrying a lot but for a 1xAA light with a switch it's still extremely compact.

I have been noticing this too!

I know for myself I am pretty much carrying the same lights every day now and have been for a few years so whats the point of repeating the same pics endlessly on the one hand and on the other hand I find that the more I post pics the more I look at pics and the more new lights I buy that I really do not need to!!!

I guess I should report here that I somehow did not buy a single light in the last year or more really and though I have seen a small few of interest I just have stopped adding to the herd!
It honestly feels kind of liberating in a strange way.
I have the lights that work for me now and unless I am adding to my daily utility I am trying to stop the collecting for its own sake or passing interest.

I have replaced the Milwaukee AAA Penlight with rubber chomp area a few times as I wear them out pretty quickly but these are just a disposable tool that I use every day and not anything more but otherwise I have been clean.

I am starting to embrace the truism that "I do not own my stuff my stuff owns me" if you know what I mean!?!

Yeah, it can be very easy to look in this thread and say "ooh, that one looks good..." and plunge into a research blitz (as I just did with giuaconmua's rather good looking Skilhunt H04 Mini RC ;)).  However unless it's something genuinely new and different to me, and that I even might have a use for, then I've gotten good at ignoring it. I've got a headlamp that suits me.  I've got a 18650 (or three) that suit me.  I've got a keying light that suits me etc etc.

I might be wrong but light technology seems to have plateaued and, while companies are making some small improvements, it's nothing quantum.

Yup, feel the same way as well. Heck, my keychain light is approaching a decade. An ITP A3 in stainless. Most of the new flashoholicks don't even know ITP. My car light is a 47s Quark Tactical running on a RCR123. Still going strong.

I have a Maglite AAA LED Mini on my nightstand, a rechargable LED light on my keys, a NEBO Poplight and LED Solitaire in my workbag and a NEBO AA Anglelight on the book shelf downstairs and various others stashed through the house. I think I am good.  :D

I carried and used a Surefire Titan Plus today.   As I was outside for a walk, I noticed an elderly woman beside her car with all the car doors open.  When I approached, she said that she had misplaced her wallet and was looking for it under the car seats.  I let her use the Surefire Titan Plus to get a better look inside her car, though she didn't find it.

I'm giving this one another try.  I've carried either a Quark Tactical or Malkoff for years because of the simple interface, but this one I'm still not quite as comfortable with.  I like to know without at doubt what light level I'm going to get before I turn the light on.  I love the light otherwise--it's compact, with great output and beam, tint and CRI.

Regardless, Jason Hui deserves credit for bringing the Foursevens brand up-to-date with great offerings.

Interesting.  I'm not familiar with Warm White LED.  I love LED flashlights for their brightness, but my eyes don't do well with small detail in super bright light.  We have a combination lock on the bike cage at work and in fall when it's dark, my LED bike lights just wash out the numbers.  So I've taken to carrying an old Maglite Solitaire with an incandescent bulb.  Works much better as the softer light doesn't wash everything out.  Do you think the warm white LED would be comparable?

That's why I bought it. I wanted an output similar to an incandescent, but incandescent lights are harder to deal with; due to lack of battery life, and the fact bulbs with regular use, need to be changed regularly.  It's brighter, the battery lasts longer; there are no bulbs to change every couple of weeks, and it doesn't get hot after extended periods as much.

Thrunite TH20 with SST20 4K emitter. I've abused this lil fella for the past 2 years. Accidental drops, submersion in salt water,  etc.  I have owned some very popular, high dollar, high profile lights which haven't endured as much abuse.
It just keeps on chugging along.
