I've got one knife I can't put a name to (don't get excited, I doubt it's very interesting!).

Not knowing bugs me, so who can tell me what this is:

Wenger, 85mm, 1 layer.
Main blade, nail file and corkscrew.
Old style scales - no indents or fancy shapes.
NO lanyard ring.

That's it... an old tiddler with no name!

Sounds like a Standard without a keyring... More knowledgeable opinions should be on their way though.

OT: Searching for it on the Wenger site, I stumbled on this...

No, I am without the sexy black one, I can live with that :)

I can think of plenty of other tools I'd rather have for that kind of cash.

If this mystery has not already been solved in another thread...

It took a while but it looks like it has been solved now.

Thanks to Katran73 (of multitool.org, runs.ru) :tu:  and Andrey2474 (of runs.ru)  :tu::cheers:

Now you can sleep easier.

Thanks to Konstantin for sending me the information.
It looks like we'll be making some updates to SAKwiki soon.

I'm not sure I understand the solution?  All of the knives on the linked page still have lanyard rings...
Half-ass done wholeheartedly!

The ones pictured yes, but on the catalog page look at the model numbers shown for each configuration; the Wenger model number decoder (not sure if it's on the linked page, access is down right now), the Standard series models ending in 0 or 2 do not have a ring or chain.  The posting just confirns it would be Standard Series v 1.01.00 or v 1.01.02 if it had toothpick & tweezers, but that particular catalog page says that model 1.01.02 is not available.

It would have been more accurate to say that it confirms the attribution rather than solved the mystery.  I was probably too excited about seeing an interesting catalog page and reading the research.
