I am not a big fan of the current Schrade. Ever since they sold the company and moved to China for the majority of their manufacturing, it just hasn't been the same. With that said, I posted a few of my older knife photos on Facebook recently and among those stored upstairs is a Gerber Mark II. It got me into thinking about the knife's rich history and doing a bit of online reading came across someone mentioning that Shrade made something similar. I had to get one out of curiosity. Meet the Schrade Needle.

Right off the bat, the included hard plastic sheath is really nice with the included clip. The knife is held via friction, and there is enough here to prevent the knife from slipping out during use, but not enough to make extracting the blade difficult.

The handle is nice and grippy, and although there are serrations found on the blade, there is no swell to it, meaning the blade has a straight edge.

I was playing Counter Strike 2 last night and noticed the knife they use for the special forces looks almost like the Shrade Needle. I thought that was funny,
