Nice pic

So far, the Excedrin has done more work than the Alox, and I can blame it for the shaky picture quality.

(If I knew that a trepanning job would assure I'd never get another migraine, this might be the other way around! )
Sorry about the migraines.  Fortunately mine have decreased a lot since retiring from the Navy

Thankya, Sergeant! It was one of those "slice of life" moments that I figured could be made into forum content.

Sos24 (because I haven't figured out if there's a "multiquote" feature here), I'm going to take a wild guess that yours are mostly stress-related.....?

I can see why you would ask that and stress definitely exacerbated them but I think the decrease is really from being able to better avoid and manage certain situations before the migraine is triggered, unlike before I would try to push through until I had a migraine that incapacitated me.

My biggest triggers (that a great nurse practitioner who specialized in migraines helped me identify) are hormonal, certain lighting conditions and neck pain.  Since retiring, I always wear quality sunglasses, avoid when possible going out if hazy and bright, and minimize time in places with light that I’m sensitive to.  For my neck pain, I have been prescribed a medicine that really helps, and can use heat and stretches to prevent the pain from getting to the level where it might trigger a migraine.

The weekend knife.

I'm going to spam the forum with this knife a little bit, partly because I've found I like spear point barlows, and partly because I'm a little too proud of the color of my collar.

Same Alox, new boots!

Those of you who don't understand why this would be a big deal, I kind of envy you.

I left my comfort zone today with a recent Camillus—the smallest tactical knife I have ever carried. Found it in the low price bin at Tractor Supply. It has a 2 1/8”, carbonnitride Titanium covered  blade of some kind of 440 steel. It has a back lock. It opens with studs and has a nice action. This guy is perfect for carrying in the crown pocket of my Tilley hat, or in my change pocket in my jeans. I have never taken the recent Chinese made Camillus knives very seriously, but this little guy is just plain fun, even though it is only tactical vs. a mouse, or a gerbil. And yes, its got a little blade play.
