ringzero,

A misplaced Soddie eh? Sounds like ample reason to buy another!  ;)

2xTap

You're right of course.

I like the Soddie well enough that even before the original was misplaced, I had planned on picking up another.

Next time I catch them on sale at Lowes, I'll grab up another one, or maybe two.

For 10 bucks and change, these are an outstanding pocket knife.

.

You lot over the pond have no idea how lucky you are sometimes

Guess Soddies must cost a little more in UK?  How much?

.

I remember stumbling across one somewhere that was in the mid £20's, but they are pretty rare over here.
I'm back!!

Thanks, Benner.

The MSRP may be about that in dollars in the U.S.

Seems like the U.S. price in dollars for a knife usually converts to about the same number in pounds in the U.K.

Yes. And European dealers tend to see the MSRP as the only legal price, some items are very hard to get cheapter than the MSRP. If some manufaturers do not allow anyone but the official importer to get their stuff over here, then it gets really expensive. Like Maxpedition, Surefire or Gerber - they are way too expensive here, due to no competition.

ringzero,

The bigger ones are pocketable, as long as you have deep pockets!  :D

Benner & Woz,

Sorry to here the prices some of you guys have to pay for things over in Europe, that really sucks. Particularly for Surefire stuff as they are way overpriced even here. Their MSRP's are outrageous. As good of lights as they are they still want way too much money for them.

Agreed.  I'm sure they make excellent torches, but I'm not willing to pay as much as they're asking when I can get Fenix/Olight etc for much cheaper.

Yeah, I've been tempted by the Razel CRKTs for a while.  Not so sure about the steel though...

Wish I could get myself a proper custom one.
