I've eyeballed the Frogs for quite a whille, for some reason they appeal to me..I wondered if they were useful,or eye candy gimmickry. Old Bob here is going to pick up one !

Well for $5 you can't hardly go wrong.

Another question: I see the #25 Torx bit tool.....is that a common size? A standard on bicycles or something perhaps?
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

I've never seen a Torx that size on any bike I'm familiar with,it looks like a size that would be found on some the R/C things like cars, and airplanes.

FWIW, I posted this a while back:
http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,83.msg2476.html#msg2476

I find the Metric version more useful than the US version, and a little bit smaller overall.

They can be found here fairly inexpensively:
http://www.bladematrix.tv/index.asp?PageAction=PRODSEARCH&txtSearch=frosch&btnSearch=GO&Page=1

Don't know if there's an official relationship between the Frog and the Frosch.

They look rather similar, but I doubt they have much in common beyond that.

I actually was near the checkout at Bladematrix with those the other day, and they certainly seemed like a decent price.... but I am really not fond of anything with the UC name on it.

If you say it is good enough, I may try it again after all though.  Is there any sheath/carry method with it?

No sheath.

UC does (or did) import some decent items from Germany, such as the Frosch, and Kissing Crane knives.

I realize that they do, and I am also aware that not all of their stuff is the cheap-o line of crap designed to allow 15 year old kids to scare their moms with.  I think I will have to look again at the Frosch tools and see how they are first hand.

that size of  torx is very widely used in mountain bike brake fluid reservoir etc.almost all brake manurfacters use that size and its in most of the bike multis there is.

I just received one in a trade and I love it! The new ones are junk, but I believe I received one of the original tools.  :tu:
