Frozen Precipitation
on: December 02, 2006, 03:19:02 AM
Holy Moly Batman, did we ever get a bunch of snow today!! Time to fire up the old snowblower and see what part breaks first......

The snow in my back yard is about ear-deep on a schnauzer. (Nearly twelve inches) How much snow have you guys got?

Okay, okay, you want proof?

Yesterday morning at this time we had bare ground, not a speck of white stuff. Yesterday afternoon on my way home from work, it was coming down so hard I couldn't even see!! (During blizzards here in northern Michigan, we drive by instinct.) And now this morning we have a beautiful day dawning, with everything cloaked in a foot of powder.......that I have to spend the day shoveling!

Picnic table on the back porch:

Spruce trees next door:

(I'll post an "after" picture several hours from now. Wah-wah )

I guess you don't want to know what the weather is like here in the "Frozen North" today, huh?

I'm thinking about moving north, where there is less snow.

This is pretty spectacular for this time of year.  It seems we have traded weather with the west coast who is having a terrible, cold, rainy winter so far.  What can I say except that IT"S ABOUT DARN TIME!  hehehehe

Hehe... at least do me a favor and hope it doesn't snow down here for another week or so... I still need to pull the snowblower out of the basement and make sure it still works... :)

Hey, bring on the snow, I don't have to fix my snowblower yet, it's still under warranty...although I did tinker around with it last year :)  Looks like rain and low to mid 40's for the rest of the week here in Wyoming, MI.... :(

Here I am again, whining about the snow. For cripe's sake, we had temperatures in the 70's a week ago. Bugs were hatching, frogs were peeping, birds were flying all over the place.

And now look. Poor birdies.

Not fun....

It even got down to 25 degrees F here in sunny South Carolina the night before last.

But given the pics you guys are posting, I'll not complain.
