Ok, so this is way off topic, but I thought I'd throw the idea on the table anyway. What would you guys think of an international meeting in a country other than the UK? I reckon that many (most?) of the European forumites live in the UK so here's the thing: if somebody organized a meetup in, say, Greece or Italy or Denmark etc, would you consider coming?

PS: this topic would probably need a thread of its own but since most of you follow this one now, it's as good as a new one imo.

Why get the bulk of the European members to move though?

We could try and find somewhere where it hasn't been raining for the past two months? :-\

In all honesty I can't justify a trip abroad ATM.  Money is just a little to tight.

For me, I've begun putting the pieces together for a UK trip in May.  We're planning on seeing the Badminton Horse Event the week before, so I doubt we'd change things up to go "Continental".

I'm not sure I can leave my computer for long enough to attend the meetup, unless I can find a really, really long umbilical cord  ;) :D

Whatever happens, I'll be late on the Saturday (Villa are at home) and everything depends on whether my kids' team have a fixture on Sunday morning. Right now - they have a free weekend.....

Well, I checked up, and this is looking like a goer.

I'll likely be pitching my tent in the dark, but I reckon I can get there.

Don't worry mate, I'm going to drive down in the morning myself so I don't think I'll be there to early myself.

Multimap thinks about 5 1/2 hours, so more like 7 in my experience. ::)
