Hey, new here. i've got a SAK i'm having trouble identifying. the scale material is metal, but its not a standard alox scale, as all the other alox scales have a "grid" pattern of nonskid, while this knife has grooves cut only in one direction, lenghtwise. along the lenght of the blade in large black Letters it says "Stockhausen". the tang of the blade says "Victorinox Switzerland Stainless Rostfrei" on one side, Officer Suisse (with that officer suisse symbol) on the other. the knife has the basic implements of destruction, large blade, small blade, can opener, and a bottle opener (same as a recruit). its the same length as a spartan (84mm?).This knife is from at least the mid 90's, possibly mid-late 80's. all of my SAKs are on the older side, and they all say "Victorinox Switzerland Stainless Rostfrei", ive seen newer ones say "Victorinox Swiss Made Stainless".has anybody heard of this?
(Image removed from quote.)wow, you guys are quick, and hit the nail right on the head. sorry for the lousy camera phone picture but i can't find my digi-cam at the moment. any information on the model?*Edit: its a file, not a smaller blade, which identifies it as an older model cadet, correct?**thanks!
If it has samll blade in place of the nail file, it's an old-style Cadet II, arguably even rarer than "regular" old-style Cadet!
We need to post photos and notes of older style "Ribbed" Cadet models on the SAKWicki. Now if only I can get a really nice photo to post or maybe someone here has a nice photo and will post it on the SAKWicki. My old Ribbed cadet is a user and not that pretty. The shield is like new but the scales show use. Well how about it, anyone?

You can do as you like. No need to ask.
Ben's image has been added to the 84mm gallery (with due credit ) and is also thumbnailed on the Cadet page Sorry Wayne, I've not got any red ribbed. Do you think we'd be OK using a pic from that old catalogue? I can't see anyone objecting but technically its not ours
