Just to complete the set mine has the screw in the scissors and the SD tip on the file.  :D

I can understand why they don't do these anymore, IMO the natural home of the 58mm in on your keyring.  Mine lives in a little personal kit that I carry most of the time but it never sees much use.

A quick fix for the scales is a good rub with Brasso metal polish, it'll bring back the shine but won't remove the big scratches.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

Very cute... but yes, not for users due to the lack of ring! :)

I don't like carrying them on my keys mainly due to work, so when I carry a 58mm (which is becoming more and more common) I always pocket carry so the lack of keyring is no probs for me.

Seems a real shame to not use something due to the worry of loosing it though.  :-\  I'd personally sooner run the risk of losing it than to just leave it in a drawer unused for the rest of it's life.

But that is just my opinion is is probably an unpopular one.  :D

What if it was a really tarty bling one (like a Mappin & Webb) without a mark on it?   :pok: remember silver scratches easily  :ahhh

It would still get carried and used I'm afraid, just the same as all the others.  In fact, if it was a particularly nice one, it would see more use than any of my others as I'd want to carry it more.

I'm odd and actually like signs of use and carry and just don't like to see things going unused.
