RESPECT!  Cthulhu is the very personification of evil!  Great Old Ones and other dread cosmic entities just don't get any eviler than Cthulhu!

Cthulhu slumbers, dreaming in his sunken city Ry'leh beneath the Pacific Ocean.  When the stars are right HE will awaken.

Perhaps before you are consumed, you will change your mind about Great Old Ones being cuddly.

I love the cuddly Cthulhu. :tu: All hail the fuzzy personification of evil. >:D

Cthulhu once appeared in an episode of the Real Ghostbusters cartoon.  :D  Somehow the Ghostbusters didn't go insane and start clawing at their own flesh.

I think my excuse is that my brother was very into Lovecraft at the time (still is TBH) and I was just starting to follow him.  So it was a very weird cross over between the kids stuff and adult fiction I was exposed to.  I have to admit that I can remember almost nothing else about the cartoon.

Cthulhu in a kiddie cartoon - simply amazing.

Did the cartoon show the crazed cult of Cthulhu worshippers?

Did it show Cthulhu consuming anyone?

Now you say it I do think there were worshipers.  But no, i think he got pushed back into the sea before he consumed anyone. :-\

I never doubted you for a sec :salute: Seems like I remember that ep as well :o :D

Also another cartoon with a creature that was similar to Cthulhu was Tendril from the cartoon Inhumanoids

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inhumanoids

Alas the cartoon was short lived :-\ but it was a good cartoon :D

Guess we should be thankful that they decided to spare the little kiddies that gruesome detail.

Still it seems to me that Cthulhu would be a bit much for small kiddies.  I remember having nightmares about cartoon creatures when I was very young.
