The problem is that the Skeletool still, according to our knifelaw, was originally manufactured as a OHO, and therefore still is illegal.. (They don't leave any loopholes, Huh..)

So is the DKPK, the knife made for your country still illegal??

Where I would break the law in the first place getting a Skely over the border....
(but I REALLY want one of those now... :drool:)

What if a skele was modified specifically to be 2H elsewhere in the EU and then sent to you?  Perhaps by removing the top of the blade so that the process couldn't be reversed (which could of course happen with just filling the holes)?
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

But... If the blade was removed, modded and sent seperatly on a white unicorn at the last fullmoon in August
and the whole Skely was secretly assembled by dwarfes and delivered by a dove directly to my doorstep.....  :think:

Well, this is just a mockup - the scissors where copied into the image.
The T-Shank holder is just a Raw Prototype which actually holds a blade but is not really mountable due to the lack of mounting holes.
I just recieved pricing for the laser cuts and it seems quite reasonable. I think i may start the real modding next week.

Btw: Skurge sounds nice :-)

I was a bit upset when i first discovered your skeletool mod. I thought i was the first one to think about that just to discover you already got rid of that biner :D

As i didnt have anything to work on i decided to make CAD model of the whole thing.
As i didn`t model the knive yet this would make for a nice tool for people with strict knivelaws:



As the blade layer is missing, there are no scissors on this one either. Perhaps ill do that soon...
You might also notice, that the handles dont have any springs on them. I like the charge-like-butterfly opening and think it would be cool for the skeletool, too.
As thats not possible with springs, i removed them and made longer backs on the handles to support the pliers instead.

I wish I knew how to work with CAD, always looks cool! Now get a lasercutter and make some stuff! And I wish I had some skills and a lasercutter and lots of time, and a loaded wallet and a nice personality and a blonde secreterywith large Uhhm, never mind... ::)

Today the scissors came  :drool:

A special thanks to NEIL who was so kind to send those scissors to me. If i ever meet you we should  :cheers:

Now here are the pics:




As you can see they fit perfectly. They are nice to use (i just cut my fingernails  ;) ).
The only drawback is, that i had to shorten the lever sideways as it would not fit in otherwise. They still are easy to use and comfort is okay.


With scissors instead of the aluminium handle the tool now weights 2g more for a total of 128g.

One of the reasons why my EDC has changed from a Skeletool to a Spirit is because of scissor. I wish Leatherman had thought of this  >:(
