Used my SURGE to assemble a backpack gas operated sprayer.
Multitools are the best thing that happened to mankind since the invention of the wheel!

Used my Juice SC2 scissors to cut some plastic bags that had been tied around a handle of a drawer and some string holding together some linen.  Also used the large "kind of looks like a screwdriver but more like a pry bar" implement to scrape some gum off of a linoleum floor.  I cleaned it after. :D

Used my Skeletool to help disassemble some lattice from a brick wall. I didn't really feel like walking all the way to the garage for my ratcheting screwdriver. Tried to true a saws-all blade that I jammed into a brick, but no dice.

The cynic in me agrees, however I'll give benefit of the doubt and believe its to stop people ending up with a pile of unused cables over the years :)
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

its so retailers can get better margins on printers.  They only make like 2 dollars off a printer sale, but for a 20 dollar cable they get probably 10-15 of that, more if it was a store brand.  I had to push this stuff when I was a technology manager for office depot.  If you just the sold the printer with no accessories the store manager would get pretty upset, same for all technology really.  Oh, and Office Depot won't let you carry a pocket knife or MT (to keep it on topic).

I know the score  :-\  Many moons ago I worked for PC World for a while, same score.  I can still hear the manager's voice... add on, add on, add on, and make them take insurance!   ::)  A soul destroying job.

It was whilst I was living in Liverpool.  It was a job and there weren't many.  Did it until something better appeared.  I wasn't very good at it, I point blank refused to sell the insurance unless I thought it was beneficial (there were a couple of products it worked out good on) and I only added on what people needed.  That did lead to a few run-ins.  I actually felt a bit sorry for the deputy manager, he was obliged to attempt to give me grief over it but new damn well it was water off a ducks back.  He was a nice chap actually, I hope he's done OK.
